.:Jodie Holmes // Female // 24 years old // Gifted Human // Tethered to a ghost named Aiden:.
When she heard that, Jodie stopped, but didn't turn around to look at Jackal. Instead she closed her eyes and, within less than a second, could see through Aiden's eyes. He was still keeping an eye on the demon, making sure he wouldn't attack while she had her back turned to him. "Yeah, you would...," she answered him, her back facing him, eyes still closed. He's clearly both confused and curious as to how 'you' do this, Aiden chuckled inside her head, and this pulled a smile on Jodie's lips.
After a few moments she turned around and opened her eyes, the smile long gone and replaced by a neutral expression. "Honestly? I'm not the one who made the branch move," she said and took a step towards him, but still kept her distance. Aiden flew over to Jackal, a few feet away from his face, and started drawing in energy from the air and plants around him untl he had enough to make it so that his voice was audiable to Jackal as well. "Sorry about breaking the branch," he said, his voice a ghostly whisper, yet taunting and dark at the same time, even a bit sinister if you'd like. He wasn't even sorry. Then he moved away, leaving a cold spot where he had previously stood. He was now above Jodie.
Jodie was obviously not pleased with what the ghost did, but she wasn't commenting on it either. "I'm linked to an entity... A ghost... That's why you don't sense any magic power," she explained, but her voice didn't sound mocking nor anything of the sort; it was rather dull and bored, like it was the hundreth time she repeated that line, only this time a bit different. You could have been at least a little nicer to him, she told him and Aiden turned around to look at her. Nicer? What, with a flower crown on top or something? he snapped at her and Jodie sighed, her shoulders slumping. "Aren't you going to try and capture me? I thought that's what Dark Legends did, didn't they?" she finally asked Jackal, unable to resist the effect Aiden's battle urge had on her at the moment.
