Jackal -- Dark Legends
The demon remained silent as Jodie studied him, completely still save for the occasional swish of his tail. He cocked an eyebrow curiously at the sound of the branch slamming into another tree behind him, but didn't turn to look. It confused and intrigued him that such things were happening, as he still hadn't felt any magic power coming from the girl before him. Perhaps someone else was with her, just behind another tree? No... He would have scented them by now, right? Jackal scrunched up his nose just slightly, enough to place more emphasis upon his growing curiosity.

"Fight?" he trilled lightly, giving another tilt of the head. "I mean, if you really want to, I guess we could, but.. bit rude to assume I want to attack you, isn't it? On the other hand, why would you want to go to the Silver Rebels?" Jackal snorted, disgust lingering in his tone and around the edges of his eyes. "They're no good."

So, that cleared that up. She was, in fact, with - or at least looking to be with - the Silver Rebels. Jackal stifled a smirk. She was clearly tired and just completely fed up with the world - surely she'd be easy enough to capture if he chose to do so? Then again, there was that mysterious magic nearby. Jackal couldn't see, smell, or even sense it, so maybe attacking wouldn't be the best idea. An invisible enemy? Not exactly his style.

(( BTW, it's okay for not being on for so long, Ninja.. We all have lives outside of CS, right? Don't worry. :3 ))

Jodie maybe didn't notice it, but Aiden sure did - this demon, or whatever he was, was obviously both curious and wary of the fact that something invisible was around. While Jodie listened to Jackal talk, she arched a brow at him when he said that the Silver Rebels were no good at all. "As far as I've heard, they're safe to be with," she said, not really believing his words. Why was he trying to lure her away from her goal? Can I, please? she heard Aiden ask, and had the urge to shake her head in denial, but then remembered that Jackal was still there, and it would look kind of weird. Patience... If his intentions are evil, then you can, she told Aiden, even though her eyes never left Jackal.

After thinking about it, Jodie slightly tilted her head to the side and the frown faded from her face, replaced by a rather neutral expression. "What do you mean they are 'no good'?" she asked, wanting to hear his point of view about them. Aiden shifted nervously, flying around restlessly, the cord that attached him to Jodie swirling and dancing after him, yet keeping him firmly tied to the human's heart. He didn't have a good feeling about this, but Jodie didn't seem to notice this at all.

I stood there looking down at the dusty ground for qny fottprints other than my own. If i could know where they are maybe i could convice them im on their side. Maybe things would be easier if i knew what they were planing. Theres only one flaw in my plan. The blood on my knife.

I swallowed as he advanced, and my legs tightened. Which way to move? Do I attack the immortal or fly into a bunch of nightmarish horses? Both sounded pretty bad. And not to mention my wing wasn't in tip-top condition, so breakneck speed was out of the question. "You say you're going to capture all the good guys. And yet how in all the worlds are you going to do that?" I asked, boldness beginning to shine through as an idea started to sprout. "Everyone has good inside of them. Even if it's just a buried memory. It's still there, because it can't ever really go away. You're talking about every person in ever world in every galaxy. That's a lot of good people. I think you're outmatched," I said, a gleam appearing in my eyes. "You may get me, but others will take my place. This is just another one of the evildoer's to-be failed plan. Just watch," I said, slowly spreading my wings despite the funny feeling in my bad one.
