Zeref glanced back at Rena, thinking he heard something near by. "Did you hear that?" he asked quietly, turning in the direction of the sound. He narrowed his eyes even further, searching the undergrowth for signs of life - well, life that wasn't plant life, anyhow. It hadn't been much of a sound - it had the potential of being nothing at all, really - but Zeref wasn't going to let anything go unnoticed.

Natsu silently watched Matthew as he worked, gaze occasionally going back to Gray. When the nation was done, Natsu nodded at his instructions. "I'll make sure he keeps still," he promised, smiling reassuringly. The dragon slayer hoped that John - whoever he was, he hadn't met him yet - would show up soon. He didn't doubt Canada's work, but as the country said, John was (apparently) the real doctor.

Sherlock chose to ignore this statement. After giving John a moment to steady himself, he slowly continued, watching the doctor carefully out of the corner of his eye. It was obvious that he wasn't alright. His ankle was killing him and he needed to rest. Sherlock steeled himself for dealing with idiots just as he entered the clearing.

Sighing in relief as they entered the clearing, John immediately hobbled over to a rock to sit and rest. The camp looked really empty, and that worried the doctor. Until he caught sight of two people off to the side, and heard voices coming out from a tent thing he and the kid with spiky blue hair had constructed. Looking down at his ankle, he grimaced when he saw it. Walking on had definitely not helped it's condition. Taking off his jacket, he wrapped it around the mangled thing, tying the sleeves together at the end, to hold it up.

Hearing someone come in to the clearing, Matthew curiously got up and poked his head out. He visibly relaxed when he saw who it was. It was John and Sherlock. Turning back to Natsu, Canada grinned. "John's back!" He exclaimed happily. He quickly went out of the tent, and walked over to the doctor.

Iki's mouth opened, his tongue hanging out the side, sniffing the air once more, though from lower. His hackles raised somewhat; he recognized the scent, now. Human. Human, and something else. Magic. He stopped when this thought came across his mind; magic? Magic didn't even exist...did it? He shook his head briefly, to free himself of the thoughts. The wolf stepped back some.

Sherlock followed John over to the rock he sat on, pleased that the camp wasn't as busy as he'd been expecting. Perhaps it should have been more worrisome, but at that time, the last thing the consulting detective wanted to deal with was people. He narrowed his eyes as a figure emerged from one of the makeshift shelters and headed towards them. Sherlock sighed, immediately knowing what it was about. Could they not go half an hour without getting hurt? Well. He glanced at John. Suppose not.

Natsu glanced up at Canada as the latter peered out of the shelter, and then let relief flicker in his eyes when he heard the news of the doctor returning to camp. Natsu looked back down at Gray after the country left, sighing softly. "An expert'll run his eye over you now," he murmured. "And then, you can start healing..."

Zeref continued in the direction of the sound in a much stealthier stance, determined to find whatever was there. Even if it was nothing, he'd find it. Zeref narrowed his eyes further still, searching the darkness for the slightest of movements. A bit of darkness swirled around his fingers - magic leaking through due to his anticipation, most likely.
