It took a while for Daryl to find the house again, which he did. Daryl opened the door, and then saw Jennifer asleep on the couch. He didn't bother to wake her up to tell her that Riley died, he decided to then go out and figure out what he'd say, he knew that the two were pretty close.

Daryl came back from the upstairs, and went to see if Jennifer was awake, and she was.
