Coal Jackson, district 12

Yeah, the names somewhat odd considering my district, 12, is district of mining. Anyways, I'm 18 years old. I didn't volunteer and no one volunteered for me, sad but true, I'm glad no one volunteered too, because I want to go and try my darn hardest to kill the favorites, the careers. Yes, saying this guarantees my death but still...I will go down eventually, I'm not good enough to win, but the least I can do is play on my terms not theirs or the capitals. Before the reaping I snuck my mother's father's token, he wasn't in the games but it's good luck, it's a simply chunk of coal on a ring with fire around it and engulfing it.

As for family, there's not much, an older brother who works in the mines, my father owns the butchery shop and my mother died when I was four. Not much of a family but I have plans to go off and marry if I survive this. And as for a girlfriend, I have none and crush, maybe I'll find some other female tribute I might take a liking too but so far I don't have a crush on anyone. Love is dangerous when you are already in danger.

If you want to know my talents you may have to watch and see how good I am, without training I may not be a career but I still got a fire in me. I guess Ill tell you this, I'm dangerous with a sword or axe and I can shoot a bow and arrow when needed. I can't lie, I have been to the outside. I sometimes kill squirrels or deer for my father and the butcher shop. I enjoy it and will kill even though you think I'm one of the first to die, I'll try not too die first but if I can help it, preferably last or not at all. Because of my past experiences I've used an axe and knife before and am pretty skilled with one.
