[I'm so sorry, I was off the computer for the night by the time we started. I'm just going to fill in for what I missed and start now, if that's ok]Taiv Jeffery - 14 - District 8
It had been a good idea to go back and raid the Cornucopia. Waiting until sunset might not have been the best idea, seeing as it had been a long time and I would have to find shelter somewhere. But coming up short at the initial bloodbath, coming back for an extra large backpack and a spear was definitely worth that scramble for shelter. I had found refuge in a tree close beside the plateau. I'd be very slow going with a heavy backpack and a heavy weapon, but I took what was available for me. I hadn't gone through my backpack yet, I was using it as a pillow. At first when my name was called, I thought I would just find a hiding place and start embroidering until I died. But now I felt that I had, however so slight, a chance. About half the tributes were gone, and who knows how their faring. I was just playing with my bracelet, and I wondered if the cameras around me were broadcasting me. Probably not. Probably someone more interesting.
"Hey guys," I whispered to myself, as if my brothers could hear me.
"Hey. Alex, I know you said you would make some more bracelets. How's that going? I'm sure it's fine. Did Raven help find all the right colors for them at the market? I bet he got his own. You should let him help you. You went through the same thing last time, and look how great mine is." Hopefully only the cameras would here me, even if they weren't playing. I didn't need to fight anyone now.

I could've gone back to the Cornucopia after the bloodbath, but I had decided against. I had grabbed an axe and the large backpack it was leaning on, and I had been pleased with what I had gotten. But I hadn't found any water after traveling all day and I was wondering if I could've found an already filled bottle of water at the Cornucopia. But regretting wasn't going to do me any good. I stopped and climbed a small way up the tree beside me. I settled down in the crook of the tree, swinging my axe into the branch right above my feet and putting my backpack behind my head. I pulled a small bit of bread out of my backpack and started eating it slowly, keeping an eye out for other tributes.
