Verth shrugged, unconcerned. She finally seemed to be showing some back bone, and that was really interesting to him. "Honestly it doesn't matter of I'm jealous or not. In some way, because of me, his memories are locked away, and can continue to do so as needed. I'm not joking around here, Cinna: I can and will make him forget about you if that's what it takes to keep his mind from shattering. I share this body and mind as well, and don't want that to happen." He stated seriously. "I may have nothing, perhaps, but it doesn't matter. If he no longer can mentally function, neither him not I will ever have anything, and you'll be left just as alone as before. I'm actually trying to help here by leaving Sev with you, but if you insist, I can take that away instead." He didn't particularly want to, however. He normally only took over when Sev was close to remembering, and then, losing his mind, but he knew when Sev was alone he didn't try dressing up past memories he couldn't see, so Verth was always locked away in those situations. With Cinna, even if she didn't have Sev trying to remember anything, perhaps he, Verth, could come out more. The only problem was Cinna, and so far she seemed unwilling to work with him. It really was a shame, but he had dealt with such things before.
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more:
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
"Life is as tedious as a twice-told tale,
Vexing the dull ear of a drowsy man."
"And this our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks,
Sermons in stones, and good in everything."
