The Haunted (1x1 RP DO NOT POST)

[Lady Mekka]

"A few minutes ago." Ana said, checking her toenails. They were dry. She hopped up, walking to her closet to grab her stockings and 'ruby' slippers. "Can you text either Allen or Jess and let them know that we're coming?" She closed her closet door, the light already flipped on, to pull the stockings on, for her disgression.

"Sure." Jared told her, pulling his mobile from his pocket and whipping it open. Finding Jess's number in his phonebook, he text her. "Me + Ana will be there. See ya soon" He typed quickly, putting it on the duvet to wait for a reply, as he knew they were probably waiting to hear from them.

Ana put her brown contact lenses in, completing her outfit.
"Ta da!" she said, opening the door and flinging her arms up dramatically, tossing her head back to make her pigtails dance. She smiled broadly, lowering her arms and looking at Jared.
"So, how do I look?" she asked, wringing her hands in anticipation.

Jess flipped open her phone, reading Jared's message quickly.
"Alright, Jared and Ana are gonna be here soon." she said to the crowd, smiling sweetly as she played with her Maralyn Monroe wig.

Jared jumped in surprise at Ana's loud revealation. He grinned broadly at her. "Very nice!" He stood up to get a better view. "Very authentic" He winked at her, gathering his wings up in his arms and shaking his head to get his fringe out of his face. Jared tilted his head to one side, wondering what the time was. "So, you ready to go?" He smiled, feeling a jitter of excitement.

Ana nodded, smiling broadly.
"Do we wanna take my car?" she asked, thinking of her flashy new car. It wasn't her dream Bel-Air, but it was a pretty nice Ford Focus. It'd do until she could find a Bel-Air for sale, in good or bad shape. She loved to work with cars and engines and grease... which made up for the fact that she was an only child and her father didn't know diddly squat about that kind of stuff.

"Sure, I trust you to drive nice and sensible." Jared grinned widely at her, gathering his wings in his arms and staggering up beside Ana. Frowning as loose feathers itched against his chest, he hoisted them higher. "This is gonna be great!" He told her excitedly, stretching his arms out in front of him. "I'll totally protect ya if you get scared, I could take those ghosts" He smiled innocently at her.

Ana laughed, skipping forward to hug Jared quickly, turning away just as fast to skip down the hall to the stairs. She carefully walked down, paying close attention to not catch her 'ruby' slippers on the rug and go tumbling down the stairs. She fell down the stairs once or twice a day, which wasn't a big deal if you were wearing shorts or pants. It was a big deal when you have the potential of flashing your undies. She made it to the bottom of the stairs, skipping over to the hat rack, pressing the spring activated hidden panel, taking her keys out, then closing it again. Ah, she did love that hat rack!

Jared hugged her back, and frowned as she turned to skip down the stairs. He couldn't help but smile as he remembered Ana's sweet clumsiness and tendancies to trip down stairs. He followed her eagerly, reaching to open the front door for her, muttering as the lock jammed. Eventually he pulled it open with a proud look on his features. "After you." Jared nodded.

"Thank you!" Ana said, smiling so her cheeks dimpled. She followed the sidewalk until it met the driveway, choosing to hop up on the breeze-way instead. In the shade of the breeze-way Ana developed goose-bumps, and a sense of unease.
"Something bad's going to happen." she muttered, half to herself, as she rubbed her arms, warming them up. She flipped through her keys until she had the garage side-door key, opening the door up to reveal her car.

Jared tilted his head to one side, hearing Ana murmur something. "Sorry?" He asked, not hearing her properly. He saw the goosebumps raised on her arms, and reached forwards to rub them, hoping the friction would warm them. "You cold?" He queried, "'Cause I got my jacket right here?" He shrugged it off and held it out to her.
