The Haunted (1x1 RP DO NOT POST)

(Okay, my overly active brain just came up with a cute- ah, morbidly cute story for Riley and Victoria (which, by the way, are the names of two Twilight vampires... XD). Victoria was engaged to a guy named Lawrence, pre-arranged. She really loved Riley, (I really don't have a back story on Riley, so -input caliber of birth here-), and she was going to tell her parents the night of her death. Before telling them, she went to see her fiancée to tell him the news, and he killed her. :3 (D: I feel terrible for that smilie...) Riley killed himself/died a lonely old man/whatever, and they can't rest in peace until they finally meet each other again and settle things, cause they're both searching for their loves, so they aren't really aware of the other. :3 What do you think of that?)

Victoria paused momentarily as she heard a growl, wondering where it came from.

Ana heard a faint growling, which scared her terribly. She was glad that she was wearing her contacts instead of her glasses, cause she couldn't imagine how terribly things would be going if she were to loose her eyesight.
"Jared, did you hear that?" she asked, reaching out for his hand.

-That sounds epicc <3 Very morbid, very sad. Just the thing, I like it :3 And I know xD I love the name Riley, and thought it kinda matched the name Victoria, seeing as they were in Eclipse together ^^

Jared swallowed loudly, gripping Ana's hand and pulling her closer to him. "It's okay. It's all gonna be fine, you'll see." He told her fiercely, scouring the shadowy room for any sign of whatever had just growled. "It's probably just the wind." He used this pathetic excuse more to reassure her, knowing it would not work, and knowing it was also a lie. Sweat beaded on his pale forehead.

Riley let a soft whine slip from his throat as he sensed another, familiar prescence in the room with him. His attention momentarily drifting from the humans, he let his gaze wander over to the door, which had opened. His vision was foggy, glazed, and this frustrated him, forcing another growl. Riley's acute ears twitched, and he heaved himself to his feet, stalking over to the nearest child- the girl.

Ana swallowed hard, trying to work up a smile for Jared's sake when she felt a wet, hot blast of air washing over her leg (he's the size of a normal wolf, right? XD), making her jerk to face behind her.

Victoria saw the girl spin around to face the other direction, where the hazy shroud was resting. She was curious as to what was in the shroud, but she'd never worked up the courage to actually approach it and inquire.

Jared spun around with her, gravely curious as to what had startled her. He was reluctant to tear his gaze from whatever had entered the room with them; he shivered, suddenly feeling very exposed.

Riley tilted his head to one side, allowing a slow movement to and fro to shift his tail as he studied the girl- she had definately sensed him. Before continuing, he allowed his gaze to shift onto the other being in the room with him. Riley growled softly, suddenly feeling protective of his prey. The girl would be his. He had never grown close to the other spirit, afraid of rejection even in the afterlife. It's not that he didn't want to know, he did. He was simply too proud.

Ana started to back up, away from the creepy warm-breath thing, but then she felt the creepy I-don't-want-you-in-my-house vibe from the thing that had flung the door open. She suddenly realized that she was trapped between a rock and a hard place.

Victoria started to drift forward, not wanting to leave the couple unpunished for their trespassing.

Jared moved towards the door, the feeling of dread in his gut growing stronger as he approached whatever it was that was coming towards them.

Riley stalked forwards, his breathing heavy with desire. These two were the first humans he'd had in a long time, and he didn't intend to let them get away.

"Run!" Ana yelled, picking the lesser of two evils to attempt to get past- the one by the door. She didn't let go of Jared's hand as she bolted, hoping that her asthma wouldn't act up.

Victoria was outraged that they thought that they could get past her, but when she reached out to get them, she went straight through them.

Jared held her tight as they ran, not needing to reply to Ana, simply following her in a crazed sprint through the door.

Riley grinned wolfishly, his eyes alight. "Ah, you have made a very foolish decision..." He whispered to them, for even if he did not want them, he had to chase them now because they ran from him. Flexing his forelegs and springing forwards, he suddenly found himself screeching to a rough halt, gazing with apprehension at the spirit he would have to pass through to pursue them. Unsure, he hung one paw in the air and whined quietly.

Victoria started to run after them, ignoring the shroud. It'd have to be confronted later. For now she needed to stop the two home invaders.

Ana sprinted through the second corridor, turning to head up the stairs two at a time. She was scared.

Jared stumbled a few times, not caring what happened to him, just wanting to be away from this. All of it. The many running classes he took at school had come in handy, for he was not even breaking a sweat yet.

Riley blinked in surprise as the being in front of him turned away and pursued them. He changed swiftly into his orb form, floating like a spherical beacon a safe distance behind.
