((A plan to get Vanessa back. My baby turtle died last night... His name was Julius. And the play I did yesterday was called Julius Caesar, the man I named my turtle after...))

"She'd litsen, Leo. Don't think of her as the kind of woman to just keep running without hearing something from someone she loves," Monica reassured him, leaning over his shoulder to see what he was going to sketch. "Huh, she mentioned that you were a good artist and had great potential of becoming an architect," The angel mentioned, crossing her legs on Leo's bed and watching him. Her eyes had a hidden emotion behind the observation she was giving him.

Chase gave Hecate a skeptical look, then shook his head. "Okay, whatever," He muttered, sighing. "Well, a regular human at this school would be considered as either breakfast, lunch, or dinner," The lion hybrid corrected her.

OOC: Oh no! *Huggles* Poor little turtle... I'll light a candle for him tonight <3

BIC: "Well, cornering her could either make her stop running, or make her very mad... I'll not trust her to not run away. Better safe than sorry, and all that." On the paper in front of Leo, a ballroom was taking place, with elegant people in rich clothing dancing. They were swirling across the floor, laughing and talking and kissing, without a care for anything else in the world. A large, crystal chandelier was hanging above the throng, with tasteful decorations scattered about the room. And, in the center of it all, Vanessa and Leo were drawn. The angel was like a brilliant light in the room; the eye went straight to her when it looked at the picture. He was twirling her into his arms, and they were facing the camera, but not looking at it, only at each other. "I'll be coloring it in for added effect... What do you think of it so far?" he asked, not noticing that Monica was hiding something at the moment.

"Or maybe all three," Hecate added. "When did you find out that you could become a lion? It must have scared your family the first time."

((Thanks, Veraway! ♥))

Monica gave the sketch a long stare, thinking of what Vanessa's reaction is going to be when she sees it. "Huh, were you thinking of the ball this winter when you drew this?" The angel asked curiously, then remembered Leo's question. "Ah, right! The picture's great, if the outlines wasn't drawn in pencil and it was on a different kind of paper with digital color, I would've mistakenned it for a picture," She confessed, leaning against the wooden frame of the bed. Then she observed the picture more and more till it kind of scared her how close to realistic it was. "Man, I would've thought that you were obsessed or something. Only because of how great a detail you have on Vanessa."

"Both parents were fine with it. Afterall, they expected this to happen. However, my uncle mistakenned me for a bulky, big kitten when I was only a baby and turned into a lion cub. That, and the bulky, big kitten ate his nephew since I was in the baby cradle at the time," Chase chuckled, remembering his aunt-who was married to his uncle who was from his mom's side-told him that story. "However, before he shot me with his gun in avengence of his supposively 'eaten nephew', he realized that I was a lion hybrid and put the gun away. I think my mom was alot better about me those days, 'cause she almost hit my uncle with the same gun if dad didn't hold her back."

"Nope, I was just thinking of what was romantic, elegant, fantastic, wonderful, amazing, and filled with movement, all at the same time." Leo grinned at her, then bent back over the drawing. He drew quickly but efficiently, barely ever making a mistake. Since before he even remembered, he had loved art, and he had taken dozens of classes and drawn practically thousands of pictures to hone it. "Just a good memory of those I've spent a lot of time with," he said, laughing. "If I was obsessed with her, it would be a little bit creepy."

"You ate your cousin?" Hecate said, eyes wide with surprise. "Please tell me you did not." She sat back with a breath escaping her.

"Well, yes you're right. If you were obsessed, I think poor Vanessa would have a good reason to leave you. But I only see a artistic lover boy who's trying to make it up to his angel," Monica said with a shrug, outstretching her wings. "Well, I think you're doing fine without me. Not that you needed me anyways." Jumping off of the bed and landing on the ground with barely a sound, she headed towards his window.

Chase looked at Hecate in suprise and protested, "No! He thought a big, bulky kitten-who was me-ate me. He's my uncle and I'm his nephew. Ofcoarse I'm not his damn cousin!" Seeing her reaction, he was suddenly very annoyed. If she thought that was the most awful thing that came out of his mouth, then she must be very oblivious to what he actually did at school.

"An angel in more ways than one..." Leo murmured, then brightened. "Hey! That's not bad. I think I'm going to add that somewhere in here." Distracted, he barely noticed that she was leaving, except to look up and wave 'bye to her. A thought passed his mind. "Thanks for the help, Monica. Where will you be going?" He smiled at her, truly grateful for what she had done, and hoping that he'd be able to see her again.

"Oh... right." An innocent, sheepish expression crossed Hecate's face. "Uh... Oops? Can I say that something possessed my brain for that second, not letting me think correctly? Or perhaps I was distracted by something?" Seeing his annoyance, she flinched, feeling bad that she had made him feel that.

Monica looked back at him, then smiled in amusement. "Heaven, where I belong," Monica told him, wanting to tell him that she was lying the whole time until now. However, she'd leave that for her best friend, Vanessa, to handle. "Here are my last regards though, Vanessa is very loyal and in her own ways just like you. I think God wanted you both to finally meet eachother because you both are so much like soulmates. I beleive that's why she's an angel now, and why she'll be forever with you. Even in death. Just like how she and I are best friends forever." Parts of her body started fading into light. "By the way, tell Vanessa I said hi and that I'll be waiting till Leo's done with his part of her job." Then she disappeared without a trace.

Chase closed his eyes and clenched his jaw for a few seconds, then breathed out a sigh. "Distracted, let's say you were distracted," He grumbled unintentionally grouchily. Attempts to make the mood lighter; zero.

Confusion crossed Leo's face at her message. He wondered what it meant, then figured that Vanessa would figure it out. Shrugging, he continued with his sketch until it was done, then got his hundreds of coloring pencils out and began coloring the drawing. Each detail was precise, each color was magnificently bright and bold, and Vanessa practically glowed in the picture. Her dress hung on her body perfectly, and the sleeves weren't on her shoulders but on her arms, and the dress was a bright red. Her eyes were alive and sparkling, and they were both laughing, not noticing anything around themselves. At the bottom of the drawing, 'An angel in more ways than one...' was printed in a curling script. Glancing at the clock, he found that it had taken an hour or two to make the drawing. He stood up and stretched, picked up the drawing, then left his dorm and walked to hers. When he stepped inside, he easily found her door and knocked, leaning against the door frame on the inside swinging door.

Hesitantly, Hecate leaned over and kissed his cheek, not sure whether that would help or not. "I'm sorry, Chase," she said, trying to make it up to him. Surprised that her speech had changed again, she shook her head and brushed it off.

Vanessa nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard someone knock and she realized it was Leo before she called out, "Come in! The door's open." For a while now, she was the only person in this dorm, even Aislyn didn't come back, which figures. She was spending her time writing down something, but now she was shuffling it away into her drawer. The angel was in a night gown, looking like she was actually going to bed soon.

Looking at Hecate, Chase gave a small smile and stroked the side of her face with his fingertips. "Even if your skin is dark, it's so perfectly smooth..." He murmured as he looked at her eyes. "I like it."

Entering the room, Leo paused at Vanessa's nightgown, then froze. Hadn't Monica said Vanessa was packing? Blinking in confusion, he shut the door behind him and stepped up to her, staying a few feet away. Not sure how to start it, he just decided to give her the drawing right away. "Before you left, I was hoping to catch you to give you this..." He held out the drawing for her to look at, looking almost nervous.

Fire burned along the path that he traced down her cheek. "Th-thank you," she stammered, eyes wider than normal, her breath hitching some. She wasn't very good at handling her emotions, or boys, for that matter.
