Hecate sighed, seeing his surprise. "It was just a romantic thing that you said." She waved her hand, as if brushing it off. "All women are romantics at heart. Did you not know that?" Another wave crashed over her, and she laughed from the sudden spray of salt water.
"You really suck at ignoring people, you know that?" Leo leaned his head against a rock when he heard what she said. His head snapped up, his eyes the lightest of blue. What she said had drawn him over the edge. This time, he didn't fight the change; he embraced it, wanting to cause her harm. Muscle rippled under his skin, fur grew, his jaw became elongated, and a large, sandy colored wolf suddenly stood where Leo had been. The whole thing had taken less than ten seconds. Instantly, he launched himself at her, his teeth waiting to rip into her throat. Not one sound was uttered during the whole process, before, during, or afterwards.
