Ryuki realized the time and stood up abruptly. "Shoot, Mom's gonna kill me." With both people he'd been talking to gone he had no one talk to anymore so he slung his backpack over his shoulder and ran back towards home with urgency in his gait.

BF gave pleased sounds as he dropped the rodents at Nat's feet and climbed up the man's clothing to his shoulder, obviously pleased with the praise.
