Melinoe nodded. "Yes but why me? I mean it's an honor to be chosen however only the best are. Or so I've heard." Then at his second question she shrugged. "I honestly don't know. I mean I would if there were nothing here for me."

Perry raised an eyebrow. "You have a younger sister? She has a cat?" She asked, surprised.

"I have nine younger siblings. All half-siblings though." I laughed, "And yes, she called the cat 'Mr. snuffaluff'...".

[Shandelion.]

Perry's eyes widened. "All Zeus kids" She asked, then shook her head. "No, they can't all be Zeus kids, of course not. Mr Snuffaluff? What a strange name? I'd never put a poor cat into the misery of having such a terrible name."

I have a throaty laugh, "Yes, they're my mother and step-father's devil spawn." I grinned, "I know, it's no wonder the cats angry at everyone.".

"So what do you like to do around here?" I asked Herrick curiously.

"Um, I guess wonder the forest." Herrick replied not really knowing what else to say

Perry laughed. "Oh wow... So I'm guessing you dislike them all." She said. "How nice..." She murmured.

Jacob shrugged "I guess it's good then. You are really intelligent. Maybe they need someone like you." He sighed and thought for a moment. "But what is here for you? What's so special? This place does keep us safe, but sometimes it feels like being trapped. Not being able to go anywhere. Why would you want to stay here?" He asked.

I shook my head, "Not all of them... I mean Joey's cool. He's second oldest next to me." I mused, "He keeps the rest of them in line.".

I nodded, "I like the forest. It's pretty nice." I mused with a smile.

Melinoe looked down and sighed. Why was he steering her towards accepting it? Did he want her to go? She felt tears coming but held them in. "Yeah, I guess you're right. There's nothing here that's making me stay. Why give up the opportunity of a life time?" She said sounding happy but really deep down she was a little upset that he wasn't making any effort to sway her away. She took a deep breath and smiled as she looked at him. "Thanks Jake." She added as she hugged him

"Me too." He replied as he sat on a near by bed
