Carter sighed and as he walked up to Samantha's house he turned to her."Hey I'm having a 4th of July party this weekend.Would you like to come? I've had it every year except for the last two."

Sparrow jolted awake panting hard. She didn't realize Ray was awake.She held her face in her hands and tried to calm herself.A few tears trickled down her face. She didn't want to cry again her eyes would already be puffy in the morning so she just took a deep breath and wiped them away.

Ray looked at Sparrow " you okay??" he asked and flashed her a small smile.

Sparrow looked over at Ray. "Oh your awake!"she said surprised."Uh yeah I'm fine. I think I'll just head upstairs now."she said picking up the core of her apple and throwing it in the trash."I'll be waking up early to visit Jay so don't be surprised if I'm gone."

Ray nodded "okay, goodnight" he said and smiled.

"Night!"she sang trying to act cheerful.She ran up the stairs and climbed into her new bed for the week.She was soon out like a light.

Rose nodded, "Yeah. I picked that up. You care about him so much."

"Yeah.... I've known him since he was three years old, I saved him from getting his head kicked in by Tisagu's dad." Twiggy sighed and smiled at Rose.

Rose's eye brows raised, "Wow. One thing, how many years older are you than him?" Rose asked and cocked her head slightly to one side.
