team b ;; training room ;; w/ alexandra ;; meeting the new teammate
Colin hummed silently to himself as he made his way to his new team's training room. He had been interested to see that he had garnered such a high letter in the alphabet this year, last year had been J and the previous years had been mostly middle letters with on circuit in Team R. Not that the letters meant much in the long scheme of things only that the higher numbers typically started missions sooner. But since Colin wasn't all that interested in his graduation he didn't really care about mission time tables. He did however hope very much he got a decent team this year. Last year had been horrible beyond belief and he had finished the year battered and ready to throttle most of his teammates. They had dropped an entire Rank (from J to A) because the brats refused to work together. Colin had fumed about the annoyance the entire summer long. Not so much in the lost Rank (he really wasn't Rank obsessed like some students) but more in the fact that they had just been miserable people to essentially live with for a year. His parents had tried to cheer him up by doing the whole "Well son that's what life is like sometimes. You won't always like the people you work with, and yada yada" It hadn't been reassuring. But with any luck he could finish out the rest of his schooling without ever having to see any of those spoiled brats again. With that happy thought in mind he strained up as he saw the training room for Team B up ahead.
It was time for a new team and a new year so Colin put on his best smile and walked inside. It looked like there was another girl already there, one of his teammates. He couldn't guess which one as they were all girls this year but he figured it would at least make him an easy teammate to pick out being the only male. He took a moment to look at the other girl and was relieved to see she didn't have the impatient superior look that usually led no where pleasant or the borderline terrified look of a newbie. Although at Rank A she should at least have some level of comfort with the way things were but then again he wasn't one to talk. He'd been at the school for a grand total of four years and he still got a little weak knee'd on missions. Still might as well get the meet and greet over with so cleared his throat and gave a little wave.

team a ;; training room ;; w/ no one ;;waiting on teammates
- Jamie wandered into the Team A training room shortly after getting her new team assignment. She hadn't recognized any of the other names on her team roster so she was looking forward to meeting her teammates. As a returning student she had been a little more easy going than some of the obvious newbies at the orientation speech given by Headmistress Felix. You could always spot those students who were in their first year because they where the most terrified when the Headmistress went over the curriculum for the school and how everything was broken up. The returning students could sometimes look a little intimidated but most were smart enough to at least fake a look of calm or boredom. Jamie having been there for three years already hadn't much bothered with listening to the speech she had instead focused on pinning down some of her old allies and enemies. Like the rest of her team last year she had finally made it to Rank A, the second rank of the school. After three years that was kind of pathetic in a way but the fact was the first year had been mostly learning to control her powers, the second year had been a incompetent match up, and last year well last year had been the year she had finally had enough personal control and a good enough team to make it to the second rank. She was actually very proud of herself and when she had caught one of her old teammates from the last year across the auditorium she gave the boy a wave and a thumbs up. Hopefully this year she would be able to keep up the forward momentum with her new team and graduate to Rank J at the end of the year.
She was so lost in thought that she didn't even realize she was the first to have arrived in the training room at first. When she realized this she gave an internal shrug and looked around the room. Like all the school's training room this one was deceptive in it's design. It looked like a regular enough training room with a wooden floor and walls covered in mirrors but the training rooms where all reinforced to allow students to practice their powers without tearing up the room too badly. Oh sure there would still be some scorches on the wall and stuff but nothing near the destruction that would occur with regular buildings. Even the mirrors where a trick they actually reversed over to leave the walls covered in strong metal when the training room was locked. But since the metallic side was hidden now that the training room was open for students Jamie took the time to study her reflection and straighten her clothes. Her outfit for the day had been chosen with care and while it wasn't the most trendy outfit she owned it would suit for a nice show of her capabilities. The jean shirt piece combined with the white khaki's actually gave her the ability to literally blend into the background (a nice camouflage), The sandals let her sink into the floor. Lastly she was wearing an old gray camisole underneath that doubled as some surprisingly durable body armour.
With her outfit ready she settled back to wait on her teammates.
