Alice pulled away and put her head on his shoulder.

I smiled and held her close to me, gently rubbing her back in slow, rhythmic circles. I hummed some random, soothing lullaby that popped into my head for some reason...but it fit. I closed my eyes, resting my head on hers.

Alice yawned, starting to get tired.

I laughed gently at her yawn, and that's when my stomach growled. Well, it was more of an animalistic roar. I frowned, stopping my humming. "Are you hungry, by any chance?" I asked, fighting a grin.

"Yeah." Alice said.

I grinned, using my wings to help lift me onto my feet, taking Alice's hand and gently pulling her up as well. "Let's go get some chow," I said, tipping my head to the side and grinning again.

"Adam'll have to come with us..." Alice said walking till she was close enough to hear his thoughts, Adam? Can you follow us so we can go find food? You and Ava can have some too.

'Fine, fine. We'll come,' Adam thought back with a sigh. "We have to move, Ava. Alice and Damon are going to get something to eat." He scooped her up in his arms and hopped out of the tree. "If I'm too far from her, we both begin to burn somewhat. It's terrible." He shook his head slightly and headed off in the direction of Alice and Damon.

I nodded, understanding. I'd definitely have to behave myself. My stomach roared again, and I laughed, putting an arm over it before reaching down for Alice's hand, hefting myself into the air with my wings.
