"No. We're not close wnought for thought reading." Alice said with a sigh.

I nodded, letting out a breath of relief before kneading my forehead with my knuckles. "I'm sorry,"I murmured, keeping my eyes on the grass and sand. "It's my fault that things are like this. I should have just kept my nose out of it."

"What do you mean?" Alice asked.

[Harpy•]

I sighed, looking up at her. "If I hadn't decided to hold on to the feelings I had for you, Adam wouldn't have felt like he needed to give you up." I paused, then added, "even if he does have someone else to turn to, the bond is still there, and it always will be."

"Yeah. I know." Alice said, "But we'll make it work." She said leaning forward and kissing his nose.

I gave her a half-hearted smile for her benefit, reaching for her hand and twining my fingers with hers, looking at them as if they were very interesting. "I hope it all works out," I murmured, my voice nearly in audible.

Alice smiled and watched him, she hugged his side, "It will." She said,

I looked at her and smiled, wrapping my arms around her and lifting my wing, curling it around her as well. "Good," I said, touching my nose to hers. "I don't want to have to give you up."

Alice giggled. She kissed him softly.

I closed my eyes, my free wings tipping upward as her lips met mine. I surpressed a smile and moved one hand to her jaw, cupping her face in my hand.
