I shook my head slightly. "I just needed to say your name," I said, my voice still husky and gruff. My jaw clenched, another shiver raking through my body as her wings brushed my nerve, and when she kissed my other wing the same way.

Alice stopped and sat up, "I'm done." She said simply.

Adam pondered the thought for a moment and soon nodded. "I'd be happy to be with you, Ava." He grinned brightly up at her as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "Don't you remember me mentioning that I liked you earlier? I guess I was just confused or something. Alice isn't exactly the one for me."

Ava nodded, conisdering what he had said as she fingured her hunting knife. A sudden thought struck her and she looked up, her deep purple eyes gazing into Adam's. "When we first met, you had the chance to kill me, why didn't you?" She asked, her voice quiet and soft as she looked into his eyes, as if they held all the answers of the world.

Adam watched her for a moment and shrugged. "I decided to try and befriend shifters instead of hating them for once. It's actually working out pretty nicely though." He stared right back into her own eyes. He really liked the shade of purple that they were. His own were a natural blue.

I sighed deeply, every single one of my muscles relaxing individually, and I pressed my face into the sand to stifle my groan of semi-frustration. I rested my head on my arms, looking up at her on my back from the corner of my golden eyes. I said nothing, just watched her.

Ava looked away, once again, considering what he had said. Adam..... Is your bond with Alice, Erm, Still there? She asked tenitivly, turning her gaze back to him again.

Alice smiled down at him and got off him, sitting beside him, "What?" She asked as he watched her.

I kept my eyes on her as she moved, then gazed at her for a long moment. "I can't figure you out at all," I murmured, my voice still husky. I slowly sat up, the muscles in my back rippling, my shoulders rolling as I shook out my wings. "You're all around amazing, in every way." I emphasized the word every, and hoped she caught that.

Alice tilted her head, "No i'm not. I don't know how you think that. I"m just... Alice." She said with a small smile.

Adam nodded solemnly. "Yeah. I don't want it to be there anymore, though," he said with a small sigh. "I'm just thankful that I'm out of thought range. I'd go insane if all I heard was her thoughts about Damon." He fluttered down to the branch that Ava was on.
