Firey pain seared through her body, burning everything that she moved. Sophie groaned, prying her eyes open to only find that she couldn't see anything, couldn't move anything. Thinking hard she realized that she was under something heavy, and would need to get out. Moaning, she moved, trying to ignore the pain erupting through her body as she did so.

Jack sighed,ddeciding not to go.So he just stood on his little rock,and continued to think.No,you know what he had to do?He had to go find some water or something.Thats what he needed to do.But where was a lake,pond?Man,he didn't know where,he couldn't even tell North from South,or West from East right now.

Sophie finally pushed whatever was on top of her off, blinking as the sun shone down on her. "Uh, This sucks." She muttered under her breath, standing shakily.

Matt sighed, sitting down beside Alec. He gave her his classic look of apology but Alec merely smiled weakly, shaking her head. "Don't worry bout it Matt." He smiled lightly, his expression still showing apology. "We'll be fine Al, we've been through tough times together before." She smiled, nodding. He looked up at the two approaching and Matt sighed with relief. "The meteorite, it's pinned her foot, and I believe it's broken."

Alec sighed, resting her chin on her palms as she sat up with her elbows. "You know, I should feel pain, but it's numb I think, but then again, it may just be a gash. Either one wouldn't surprise me." She smiled, oddly enough though and looked back at the two.

Kat looked around, and her eyes locked on Griffin. You're more experienced with this stuff than me, so I think you should help them. Kat murmered, a bit embarressed. While you're helping them, I'll check out the damage.

Griffin nodded, but before he could say okay, his sister was gone.

Kat got out of the debris of what was once a hous, and saw the whole view of... everything. No trees, no grass, no nothing. Just dirt, ash, and smoldering plants. Did all of earth look like this? Kat couldn't think of nonsense like that at the moment. She was too overwelmed. The smell of smoke hung in the air, a ghastly reminder of what had just happened. Under each toppled house, the was spots of blood visible, and there were bodies everywhere. Apocolypse. It wouldn't happen because of global warming, zombie attacks, loss of food or water, or lack of oxygen- it would happen from an giant meteor shower. All of her friends.... family.... gone. At least she still had Griffin.

Kat struggled to keep tears from flowing down her face, but remained strong. She stood tall, a detirmined expression on her face. She looked around anxiously, seeing roughly about 10-15 people. All of them were teens. She realized how lucky she was to be alive, but she was grateful. Very, very grateful.

Alec smiled weakly as she looked at the others. "Matt? I'm starting to feel the pain again." The color had drained her face, and the pain showed. Matt jumped up, turning to the other guy. "You wanna help out?" He asked quietly, and he glanced back down at Alec, worry coursing through him as she looked about forlornly. He loved her, but as a sister he never had. And now, at this point, she was in pain, and all he could think about was helping her.

Griffin thought for a while. His expression was thoughtful, but he did't have much time, so his thoughts were rushed. Umm.... I'm pretty strong, and you look strong too. On the count of three we lift, and if it lifts we push it off her leg. If that doesn't work, you go to the other side, and we try again. If that doesn't work, we amputate the leg. Don't worry, my dad was a surgeon and I helped him out from time to time. He concluded, staring at Matt.
