Sophie took a deep breath, stepping out of her hiding place to comfront the small group of people. "Hello?" She called, coughing slightly. Thick ash covered her entire body and hair, getting in her lungs and eyes everytime she moved to fast. She rolled her shoulders, pain erupting from it seemed every cell in her body.

Griffin smirked at Kat, and it was almost as if he could read her mind. He looked back over at Jack with a chuckle. If you want, you could go over to that destroyed Spiffymart over there. I missed a few food items, and I'm sure we could use as much food as we can get. Kat, you're good with tools. Make us a sled of some sort out of the remains of houses.....not the remains of humans. Griffin instructed with a smirk.

Kat huffed crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes at her brother. I'm not a cannible, but I don't know about you. She hissed angrily, muttering to herself as she stormed away to make a sled-thing to put all of the items they found on it.

Sophie's shoulders drooped. They hadn't heard her. She could raise her voice, but it hurt to even do that much, and the thick ash made it hard to even talk, let alone yell to the others. She wiped the ash out her eyes, thinking. She had survived the deadly metiorites, she had survived the house coming down on her and had survived when so many hadn't, she could live, no matter what.

Kaylem's icy blue pupils stared into the hazel of her eyes only to notice the fear that resided. What was she so afraid of? Sure they should be scared about the fact they were the only survivors in this epidemic, but they would all help each other now. The name she said that ran off her tongue was sort of abnormal but in a good way and as she asked, he only found it fair to speak his,"My name is Kaylem...If you wish to call me anything more then be my guest."Kaylem kept his tone calm and even hoping not to frighten her even more then she appeared.
