Ella stayed on the ground. She didn't know Katie and she didn't know this new kid, and frankly she wasn't sure that she really felt comfortable in such a weak state. So she sat with her legs crossed close to her body and carefully slid some of the heaviest items off. Once that was done she silently and determinedly began to strip her handgun to pieces so she could clean it. A silent testament that she would not be so outwardly friendly until she had determined no one was of any threat.
She didn't speak. Just glanced up from time to time with an impenetrable look in her eyes. She was wary, but not afraid.
