I laugh. I didn't think about that. "Uh, we sit here?" I say, cracking a small smile. It actually does help me calm down, seeing Mason not so petrified. Maybe I can try just talking. My expression breaks into a grin. "Great," I say happily without a second thought. "I couldn't possibly imagine you liking anyone, anyways."

Mason blinked slowly, confused at her grin, "Me neither."

Fire
I smiled at the two sitting on the log. I turned the water to salt water and left them alone. They would need food and water eventually, and they would swim. I left the camera on them and studied other things.

I laugh at Mason's confused expression. "You and I were both accused of being in a relationship," I explain to him. For some reason, I feel the heat rise to my cheeks, and I can't stop it this time. Could it possibly be from the thought of Jace, the night he kissed me? No, it can't be. It has to be just from the frustration that he'll never know about this.

My eyes open as the wind shifts, and I swear I can smell smoke. I sit up as best as I can, and gasp at what I see. Of in the distance, a fire is raging on in the woods. I'm thankful that we aren't in the fire, but I know that the others are. "Jace!" I call, looking over at him. It's too dark to see anything other than his silhouette. "Jace!" I say again, louder this time.

But as for that recap, basically the game makers flooded everyone by the shore after this fire, and now Ruby and Mason are sitting on a log and talking. Btw, Jace and Caleb weren't in the fire)

They come across Jace and Caleb. Both guys get pissed and so they come at each other with knives, and Mason gets stabbed in the leg. Voila!)

"Who knows?" I laugh. For a second, I forget about the log, and the water, and everything in the way of me getting back home. "To be honest, I don't really like your mentor," I say quietly.
