We were both whisked off to the room where are families were allowed to see us at before we were slaughtered or starved to death. I held the tears in until the peace keepers shut the door. I plopped down on the velvet couch, bawling my eyes out. I just wanted to stay on the farm, even if it meant getting screamed at by my wretched "mother." I just wanted to go home.

I was given specific instructions by my trainer. I watched as a small, terrified girl walked up the aisle. "NO!" I screamed. I didn't even know her, but I was given instruction. "I'LL VOLUNTEER!" I screamed again, a tear sliding down my cheek. The peace keepers pulled me up the stairs as I cried out hysterically. The Capital lady gave me a funny look, then spoke into the microphone. "I see we have a volunteer," she said. "What's your name dear?" I spoke into her ear as tears kept falling down my face. "Ruby has volunteered. May the odds be ever in your favor."

We Are Pushed into a train and told to make ourselves at home, although we would only be on the trai for about 3 days until we reached the Capitol.

Lily - District 10

Lily sat on the couch of her room in the Justice Building. She thought fondly of her parrot at home on the small farm, with her dad. She sighed, a tear rolling down her cheek, remembering his expression at the reaping. He looked liked he had died, he was so heartbroken. She slumped down on the couch, deep in thought. A while later, he came in. Lily looked up, snapping back into reality. He sat by her and gripped her shoulders. "I love you, baby. No matter what happens." He pulled her in for a hug and kissed her on the forehead, crying. Then, he sat back up and took out her amulet. "You forgot this. Keep this as your charm?" He asked. "Of course." He was suddenly whisked out of the room, and she sat, alone again.

District 12- Kyo

Kyo shut his eyes, "WHAT DO I DO! I CAN"T KILL!" Kyo started to scream, sobbing on his pendant, that was still in his hands. Kyo glared at the justice room, "I HATE THIS!"

I sat there, the tears making my eyes burn. I'd never cried this much in my life, probably becuase I'd been holding it in for so long. I knew that I would have no chance at the games whatsoever. I just wanted my death to be quick, and me not suspect it. Maybe I could ally with someone older than I, who knows. I just didn't want to be in the situation that I was in, and I'm sure nobody does. The tears ceased as a peace keeper came in and led me to a train. Normally, I'd be facinated by something like a train, but I just felt numb. I boarded it, and was showed to my quarters. I laid on the bed quietly, wondering what was going to happen. I pulled out a small marble that I'd had since I was a baby. My father said that it was my real mother's favorite trinket. I felt that if I was going to die, I wanted my dad to know that I had my family on mind.

Lily - District 10

Lily sighed and tried to appear bored as she was crowded by people at the train station. She was boarded on the train, feeling relieved that she finally had space to breathe. Lily was led to her room and told to do whatever she liked. So, she took a shower.

I got off of my bed a few hours later, still feeling the same. I walked out to the main car, where I was informed dinner was to be served momentarily. I silently drifted to a couch, sitting down. I stared at my feet quietly. I had my father's old dress shoes from when he was my age. He wore them to every reaping, and wanted me to do the same. I sighed, knowing that there wasn't going to be another reaping for me. I felt like I was going to cry, but my body was beyond tears. I just sat silently, thinking about the games.
