Carson sighed and went out into the hallway just outside the door. "Just. Come on and stop playin round. Do I always gotta come save ya?" He said as he started to pace, he was pretty worried about her and it wasn't often he paced FOR someone.

Tsume's body trembled hard "I dont know...." her voice was soft. she could feel whatever it was slowly getting closer, unlike before she couldn't do much to defend herself and she wouldn't be able to move regardless, which scared her. Her ears twitched frantically as she tried listening for anything, but the hospital was dead silent, and thats when it hit her. Her breathing instantly stopped as her ears stood up straight. She grabbed Duncans hand with her normal one, put a metal finger to her lips then tapped her ears.


Sasha giggled and kissed his lips softly "Come on, lets get home my love. I could go for some sleep as long as I get to cuddle with you"


Freya growled weakly and slowly drug herself out of the tub wrapping the towel around her torso. She snarled hearing his remark and threw open the door her bangs still hiding her eyes "I never asked you to keep saving me!" There were tears hidden behind her bangs in her eye. "I never asked you to come out here and find me either!" Her voice shook slightly as she fought her tears "So why do you keep coming around when I d-dont tell you to huh?!" She'd lost her battle as tears rolled down her cheek. Freya couldn't stop herself now even if she wanted to.

"Deal" he chuckled playfully, scooping her up into his arms bridal style. "Gotta get you used to this" he teased.

Duncan froze then she grabbed his arms and motioned for him to be quiet. He flickered his ears a bit, trying to hear what she did.

Carson turned to face her as she yelled at him. His face, look, and eyes were all showing the same softness. He put a finger under her chin and lifted it up to look into her eyes. "Your somethin worth savin. And I think you already know the answer. I... I-uh. It's obvious ain't it? I love you." He said it as if it were hard to say, but really it was more the fact that he had no idea how she would react to the answer. "Don't you get that by now!? I don't think I could lose you now. You are so unique. Your eyes tell a story I wanna hear, and your smile. So forced but so sincere. I can't lose that."

The hospital was completely silent. Not a single cough or buzz came into her room. She closed her eyes and focused harder, but there was nothing. "Whatever it is....this is my fight." her voice was quiet as she spoke.

Sasha squealed and laughed wrapping her arms around James's neck nuzzling into him.


Max and Krysta walked into the Cafe' together.
Krysta sighed. She'd woke up to Rayleen talking to a few of the others that the other pack had vanished, and now Freyawas gone. The two walked over to the counter together looking brained and sat down on the stools.
"Max....our pack is falling apart. Blair left, Raksha hasn't been seen in a few days, Brits went off the deep end....I just dont think we can hold it together much longer"
Max shrugged "You may be right...or everyone may pull together, you dont know for sure"


Freya froze listening to Carson. In all her life, she'd never heard those words directed towards her. She trembled hard as her tears fell but stayed silent.

Carson was silent, and for a time stared right in her eyes. A light smile appeared on his face and he carefully pulled her close and hugged her. "You and me... The world better watch out for sure." He said letting her go and looking her over. "Wanna come to my place? Warm shower, get that bullet outta ya, and wrap it all up safe."

Alexis walked up to their table. "Can I take your orders?", she smiled. She hadn't seen wolves around here for a while and it was rather nice to have the change. She blew her hair out of her face and waited for their reply. "The waffles are really good, the fresh berries covered in chocolate are to die for", she said, holding her pen to the notepad

Frerya slowly pulled away and shook her head trembling. She was scared it was a joke, or an attempt to hurt her more than she already was. Her tail tucked between her legs as she backed up and bumped into a wall whimpering softly. 'He's playing with me....no one is ever like this around me....'

Max chuckled lowly "You aren't used to working night shift are ya?"
Krysta looked at her too a soft smile of her lips.

Alexis smirked, "No way", she giggled. "But it's not as crowded as morning shifts are. At least I get to sleep in a little bit tomorrow". She yawned and looked over at the chef. "If you're hungry, the roast beef is really great with cheese covered broccoli"
