Sasha whimpered clinging to James for warmth and whispered "How do you know?"

Artemis slowly opened his eyes and looked at Aela. He slowly wrapped an arm around the girl holding her close. His eyes looked older now and tired. "He'll pull through. after all, he's Rayan's son and she's at least 100, even after losing an eye and being brought to the verge of death more times than not" Artemis' voice was stained and husky now. He'd lost a few years of his life working on this case, but he didn't mind right now.

Lex kept screaming in pain, though the sound never went further than his room behind the door.
Ella was thrown off when she got near one of Lex's old scars and hit the floor hard.

Eira stayed quiet as she walked. She had to stay numb to keep everyone around her safe.

Tsume's tail started wagging quickly as she giggled. She slowly lifted her eyes and stared up at Duncan "only for you Duncan"

"I trust Anya, she's helped before... She said it'll return when your ready." He said softly. "It'll allow you to recover without the interference." He said softly.

Aela looked up at him. "That was his mother?" She said quietly. She didn't even know he had family other than their friends.

Duncan grinned and kissed her lovingly. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Tale walked to the edge of the roof, strining his ears for a sound, his nose for a scent just something to lead him to her. He shook his head and shout out again "Lilly!" but no response, he hung his head down and took a breath. Suddenly he perked his ears and sniffed again, it was coming from below, it was faint, but it was her. He looked around below him "Lilly!"

Lilly jerked hearing someone yelling for her and fell over trying to back up. She yelped in pain and curled up rubbing her head.

Artemis nodded slightly "it was, but Lexington is never to know. She shouldn't have even had him but he got lucky. The leaders here can't have families, so he was lucky to be born at all, so when he was she had to give him away."

Sasha closed her eyes and sniffled trying to keep herself from crying.

Tsume kissed him in return but yelped when her legs gave out on her.

Aela held her son a bit closer. "I couldn't imagine her pain..."

James rocked her in his arms. "It's ok, it'll all be ok." He said. "It'll return, you just need to get better first."

"Whoa! I got you." He said, holding her up. "I think that's your legs telling you it's break time."

Tale's ears perked as he heard a small yelp, it was Lilly's voice. "Lilly? Is that you?" He asked looking down at the windows below.

I made my way to the cafe, tossing my bag to the floor when I got into the change room. I threw on my uniform and hummed to myself. It was time to get on with my life, even though I had recently been through a nasty break up, which had resulted in this unwanted pregnancy/predicament I now found myself in. I stared at myself in the mirror for a second, looking down at the slight bump that had begun to show, and sighed. There was no way I was going to be able to raise a kid by myself, and it wasn't like every male was after a female that was going to bear the "fruits" of someone else's labour... I tossed the thought and got to work

Demeter frowned softly. "Poor boys... It's a shame he won't get to know them... But I do know it's harder on the one that did know them." She said, absentmindedly again.

Sven had left the old city for a while, but he was done with a tour he was on so he could relax again. He walked around calmly but kept his hoodie on and the hood up hiding himself in the shadows of the hood. His icy blue eyes seemed to glow some but he didn't care. his black tail swayed behind him as he walked. He'd been gone for quiet a while, yet it didn't bother him.

Artemis held Aela close and closed his eyes again "Don't try to. And don't ever talk about it. Rayan can still be killed for it, and so can the rest of you."

Sasha sniffled relaxing in James' arms "What if I never get better....."

Tsume smiled weakly "That or I'm just still too weak to do much yet."

Eira walked around slowly blocking the world out.

I coontinued to wait on tablles for what seemed like forever. It wasn't like I wanted to do this job, but I needed it more than ever. I gestured time on my wrist and flashed it to the owner, who in turn nodded. I knew it was lunch time and it couldn't have copme any sooner... My body wasn't coping very well, so I ran down the narrow passage way and slipped into the bathroom, throwing up. "Ughhh..", I thought out loud, leaving the bathroom after cleaning up.
After work, I decided to do a little, much needed, grocery shopping and headed down to the closest supermarket to my apartment. I went straight to the foods I so sorely craved
