Birthed into nobility, one could be quick to assume that Ryuu's life has been a very easy and lavish one. While it appears so, you couldn't be more wrong with these matters of his past. Of course, anyone could guess wrong though. The young man sports all the characteristics of high birth; expensive clothing, fine grooming, a well mannered disposition- all brought upon him through his high birth right. But, there is always more than meets the eye. Ryuu is no exception to this case. The Fire Nation is known for its strict and powerful ways, but at a younger time in Ryuu's life, he wasn't deemed acceptable in such a powerful family. Being the only son the the current Zohei family and heir to their syndicate, Ryuu's parents sent their only son to a esteemed school that would train him in the ways of more powerful bending and very advanced learning. They wanted him to return a changed and honorable man. With all due time, Ryuu did learn these things and became a very powerful fire bender for his age. He proudly returned home to his family to show is skills- only to find his estate burned to ground. Anger wasn't the first thing on his mind, and overwhelming sadness encased his heart and caused him to be bitter and criticizing like he today. Since then, he's spent his time traveling around the world and learning all sorts of knowledge. He's wise beyond his years, but a part of him still seeks revenge on the force that destroyed his home. Ryuu has many tales and skills, some good, some bad. Either way, he's a loyal companion that will fight to the bitter end.

Ryuu is complex on the inside and simple on the outside- or so he seems to think. Mostly, this young man is a little bitter towards others. He's not mean, just a tad cold and criticizing of individuals, including himself. Because of his darker nature, he's not easy to make 'genuine' friends with. While this guy may be good at socializing and making connections with random strangers, true relationships with others is a totally different story. The thing about Ryuu is, he see's the world in a business like fashion. He holds his head high and proudly, only doing things that would seemingly benefit him at a first glance. It's as if he has a switch in the back of his mind that turns his charm on and off in a moments notice.
A lot of Ryuu's thoughts never actually reach his mouth. He holds his opinions to himself. After all, Ryuu is pretty quiet person most of the time, unless he's trying to get something done or is passionate; then he turns into some sort of overdrive, hardworking beast. His will to work is also contributed to his need of a plan. He's a tactical guy that likes to think about his movements before they are made. This trait alone has furthered his bending very much. He controls his movements and actions exceptionally in everyday as well as fighting, often taking the defensive stance when in some kind of battle.
Because of Ryuu's wealthier nature, he is a little naive to the real world even though he's explored so much of it. He will often question why people do certain things and pass judgement on someone's lifestyle too. Sometimes, Ryuu can also be a little to impressed and over enthusiastic about new things as well. If its something he's never seen before, he gets pretty excited about it. [still a wip]
