Bonnie is an upbeat and positive person who at least tries to look on the bright side of things. Bonnie was also noted for having many heroine tendencies, namely, being repeatedly ready to sacrifice herself for her friends. As her powers have increased, the witch has stepped up at pretty much every opportunity to trade her life for those of her friends. Luckily, Bonnie was alive and well, her spell-casting abilities most definitely came in handy when the Original Vampires came to Mystic Falls. Bonnie remains a strong person, who was loyal to her friends. Bonnie's biggest defining trait, as well as her greatest weakness, is her loyalty to her friends. This strength and weakness sometimes gets Bonnie into a fit of trouble that she barely makes it out okay sometimes. She believes that it was her duty to help those close to her, despite whatever it may cost her, a trait that every single member of her family has warned her on at some point. Bonnie is a loyal and helpful friend, she’s the type who ‘comes when you call’ and she’ll do whatever it takes to help out. Despite her powers, Bonnie is the quieter of the bunch she doesn’t necessarily go out and party. You can usually find her at home just relaxing most of the time.

Bonnie is most notably the most powerful Witch in her generation. She gets her magic from nature and she is capable of performing spells without some of the most important reagents to gain the desired effect. Bonnie's only known limitation as of late is dependent on her emotional status and confidence in her abilities, though with a lack of proper magical control. Probably one of the biggest weaknesses for any Witch is doubt in their own powers and skill. If a witch lacks confidence in their true power, it will always reflect itself in how they perform using their magic hindering a majority of their true skill. It's only when a Witch becomes aware of just how powerful they truly are can they reach the highest control of their abilities. Magic can often be split into dark and light, though depending on the situation can also be neutral. Magic is a genetic heredity that connects a witch to the elements and forces of nature in order to practice sorcery. Bonnie has tapped into various types of magic which includes, Spirit Magic: calls upon the aid of spirits, Dark Magic: magic that draws upon malevolent powers and is fueled by the darkest aspects of witches themselves such as negative emotions and temptation, and Expression: An unnatural form of magic that involves channeling the souls of dead humans and releases darkness that cannot exist on Earth without corrupting and destroying it.
