"Then this morning," Jez said with a small frown as she remembered the phone call she had received that morning "My father was robbed, he tried to fight and got stabbed. He's in the hospital now but they aren't sure if he'll pull through..." Jez admitted as a tear swelled up in her eye.

"God Jez, I'm so sorry," Connor said. He realized how lucky he was. His over protective parents, his annoying little sister. He always complained about them, but they were all alive and healthy. And even if Jessica didn't admit it, they all loved him.

[Dark Rose]

"It's fine," Jez said "I try not to think about it...Were you able to work something out with Faith?" She asked wiping a tear from her face.

"Sort of," Connor said. He wanted to draw their conversation away from Faith. "Would you like to do something tomorrow?" He asked. It's not cheating if they're just on a date, not really going out, right?

[Dark Rose]

"Sure," Jez said "What do you have in mind?"

"Dinner, or a movie, or we could go to the beach," Connor suggested.

[Dark Rose]

"Beach sounds nice," Jez said "What time do you want to meet there?"

"Uh, one maybe?" Connor said. He wanted to make sure he would have time to get ready for roller skating with Faith in the afternoon, and he hoped going to the beach would work out.

[Dark Rose]

"Sure, see you then." Jez smiled lightly and gave him a small kiss on the cheek before turning and walking with a blush back to her house.

Connor rasied his hand to wave a small good bye wave to her before turning back to go to the party. His car was still there. He got in it and started to drive to his house.
