I can hear them... the voices. They keep shouting at me... they're telling me to run. I can't tell whether if I'm running away from or to something... but I must run.

A group of scientists believe they can bend the DNA of mankind to enable them to survive the upcoming apocalypse, whether it be nuclear, zombie, or both. They have taken children and teens and used them for experiments and guinea pigs to test each and every possible DNA capsule; a microscopic pill they inject into your blood stream, twisting the very fabric that binds you together. Some of these experiments have gone horribly wrong, resulting in disgusting mutants that have lost every part of their brain and have turned into barbaric creatures, or death. Some however, have succeeded... but the subjects they were injected into are slowly losing their minds. Time is short, the apocalypse is coming, and the only ones who may be able to survive, if not save mankind... is you.

Personality: Nellie is an observant and thoughtful person. He thinks about a lot of things and often he jumps very quickly from one thought to the other. He's very curious and likes to ask a lot of questions. He frequently breaks the "don't talk to the scientists" rule. He finds them fascinating. First impressions would tell you that he's working with the enemy and he doesn't mind what they've done to him. That's not really true. Learning about what's been done to him is his way of coping with the trauma and gaining the scientist's trust. As I mentioned before, his brain is a bit scrambled.

Nellie's filter between his brain and his mouth and what he thinks and what he acts on is very very crumbly at this point. He's not very logical and often things he does don't make sense. He's unpredictable and says a lot of things he may or may not mean. He doesn't think before he acts. His moods change frequently. Some days he'll seem perfectly normal and sane. Other days he'll be aggressive and stubborn. Other days he'll be dreamy and unresponsive. There's no telling with him.

When you do catch him in a sane mood, he's generally friendly and understanding. Even compassionate and sympathetic. He's a good listener and generally very pleasant to be around. He's very courteous if not a bit awkward. These moods don't last long though. They're usually replaced rather quickly by babbling Nellie, absent Nellie, angry Nellie, etc. The list goes on and on.

While it may not appear that way, Nellie is very loyal to his fellow subjects. He'll pick their welfare over everything else any day if he has to choose. He doesn't give away secrets if he can help it. He's very stubborn. He's loony, but he's got more sense than most people give him credit for. He's pretty social and often picks on person to hang onto in situations with lots of people. He's a bit like a dog. He likes little kids too. He gets along with them very well and even in his most aggressive and angry moods, small children can calm him down pretty quickly.

History: No one really knows much about Nellie. However he used to be perfectly normal and he's been here a long time. He used to be perfectly normal before the capsules and exposure to everything drove him crazy. He had a little sister and a little brother that he loved dearly which is why kids calm him down so much. They remind him of his family.

Other Important Info About Your Character: Nellie has many auditory hallucinations. The most prominent is a constant, steady drumming in his head. (Sort of like this. Yeah, I'm a Whovian, don't judge me. =P) Sometimes it stops and is replaced by music. Other times it's replaced by voices. Then when that's over, the drumming starts up again. He's grown used to the constant noise in his head, and he finds it comforting almost. However, sometimes the drumming will reach painfully loud levels and any real noise sends him into fits of him screaming to stop which of course only makes the drumming worse. Sometimes it stops all together and he panics because he's not used to the silence.
