Brittani looked up from her book. "Hi." She said with a tilt of her head. Brittani saw the glare Kay was giving to Roy and looked back to her. "What's wrong?" She asked closing the book.

"Vesper," Kay mutters, not keeping her eyes off of Roy. "He's been trying to bug me for months." She snorts. "Hasn't been very successful, though. He's scared to get within 10 feet of me." She turns back to Brittani. "What book are you reading?"

"Well My father wrote it. I keep it because it reminds me that I have a father. And I don't know the title because it's in French. My father was French." Brittani said with a shrug.

Kay nods. "Cool." glances at Roy again, wary of what he might do. She fiddles with her pocket knife absentmindedly, then sighs and looks away. "Sorry," she says. "But I know there are other Cahills in the area. And i'm kinda in charge of watching him."

Forrest looks over and sees Roy, then Kay. Great, a Madrigal and a Vesper in one area. He still didn't trust Madrigals, and Roy was a known Vesper. He started looking around for something...special.

"Oh." Brittani looked around at her surroundings then back at Kay. Now that she wasn't reading... She was bored. The book was starting to bore her and she was beginning to feel drowsy. "I'm kinda bored..." Brittani said with a sigh. Although she didn't like girls, she didn't feel hatred towards Kay. She didn't gossip and she didn't blab. Much more appealing.

Kay picks at her shoes for a moment, bored. Then, when she thinks of something to say, she looks at Brittani and raises an eyebrow. "So...what branch are you in?" she asks. "I'm a Madrigal," she adds proudly, her eyes lighting up. "And he," she points with her chin to Forrest, "is a Lucian."

Brittani smiles. "I'm a Janus." She said with a twist of her hair. Brittani never knew why but at the name of her branch she always felt a strange happiness.
