Ben turned to face Mikeal again and saw that he already helped Kate. He looked drained and dizzy. The boy went to him and placed a hand on his shoulder, feeling his heavy breathing. He knew that Mikeal wasn't feeling well, so he decided not to ask stupid questions. ''You can always go outside and take some energy from the plants,'' he said, trying to assure the boy that he was going to be alright. But he didn't know if the same was going to happen to Kate. Ben looked at her and waited for any sign that the powers that Mike had given her had helped her.
Kate could feel many eyes located on her, as she started feeling warm waves rushing through her body. In a minute, she felt like she had slept forever, because the energy was pulsating inside of her. Slowly opening her eyes, and blinking a few times to get used to the light, she recognized familiar faces gathered around her. She lifted her eyebrows and yawned, placing a hand in front of her mouth. Kate looked around her and she couldn't tell what had happened, and why everyone looked so worried. ''Hey,'' she muttered, and felt her mouth so dry that she desperately needed to drink something. ''Anything new?'' she added, like nothing serious had happened. If she had to be honest, she wanted everything to be just a bad dream, but judging by their face expressions, it wasn't. She now noticed the cloth full of light energy pressed against her forehead, and she slightly smiled, knowing that Lilly had made it.
The moon had finally showed up on the dark sky, that had no stars this night. Bullet's curls were brushing away from the cold breeze that was embracing her. She couldn't tell what she was thinking right now, but once she heard a low noise of footsteps approaching her, she quickly turned around, her eyes widened. If this was a normal day like any other, she wouldn't get stressed from such little things, but well, it wasn't. It was dark, but from what she could see, Damien was coming towards her. When he spoke, Bullet was sure it was him. ''Hey,'' she greeted him back, giving the boy a warm smile, even tho he probably wasn't going to see her. ''Are you okay? Lately, you're really quiet,'' she said, with a worried face. Bullet missed their conversations, jokes and teasing, and she could feel that something wasn't right. Away from the fact that they were probably going to die sooner or later, but she couldn't think about this right now. The girl moved closer to him and placed her head on his shoulder, deeply sighing.
