"Then why did you say the complete opposite?" Xavier did his best to swallow his tiger (dino) instinct, the instinct to simply show Ian who's boss by claws and fangs. "Why did you hurt her when you could have avoided it easily?" He added, his gaze narrowing. It puzzled him on how someone could completely crush a girl's heart like that. Espectionally (sp) the girl he cared so much for.

Lily nodded slowly, her emotions mixed. Part of her was waiting almost eagerly for Xavier to fight Ian to the death, another part of her was dreading the conversation between brother and brother. Yet still she was in the middle. On one hand she wanted Ian to know how he hurt her and on the other she wanted him to just leave her alone.
"Sort of." Lily said quietly. It was hard to think about Ian anymore but she couldn't stop thinking about him...

Ian flinched once more at his words. "I..I don't know. I wasn't thinking at the time. Plus, what I said was true. At the time, I really wasn't ready to go any farther in our relationship," he murmured, looking away after a moment. Rubbing the back of his neck, he sighed. "I was stupid," he admitted.

Chloe nodded slowly, studying her. "Does it help to say Ian is really regretting what he said?" She murmured softly. She doubted it would help, but it was worth a shot. She wanted to comfort Lily, but she had a feeling Lily and Ian needed to solve this between themselves.

Xavier studied Ian and wished he would fight back. It was hard to be angry at someone who was agreeing with him.
"So a few minutes ago you weren't willing to go further? But, yes, you were." Xavier said in a low tone. He crossed his arms lightly over his chest and leaned back in the chair, glowering. Stupid Ian. He mused to himself almost bitterly. He didn't like Ian and the whole Lily 'problem' made him like him less and less.

Lily shrugged. Maybe it did, maybe it didn't. It was hard to say at the moment. Everything was starting to blur together much like the tears that had flowed a few seconds ago.

Ian sighed before swiftly glancing at Xavier. "I was wrong, okay. What else do you want me to say?" He spat, his patience wearing thin once again. He knew he shouldn't make Xavier even more angry. Because if it came to a fight, which Ian really hoped it didn't, he had a feeling Xavier would win. A tiger(dino) against a coyote wasn't very fair, after all.

Chloe sighed softly, running a hand through her hair to get it out of her eyes. "Are you going to talk to him about it?' She asked Lily after a moment of silence. She hoped the two would at least talk. It might help a little.

Xavier watched Ian grow annoyed. He then realized that Ian did care for Lily whether he liked it or not.
"That you'll stay away from Lily. She doesn't need someone to play with her heart." Xavier replied in a deadly tone. He could bet his eyes had slitted like a cat's by now.

Lily didn't answer right away. She was positive that she didn't want Ian out of her life, but how could she talk to him again when he had hurt her so bad?
"Eventually." She sighed. There wasn't any crashing of chairs or anything from downstairs so she assumed that things were going pretty good. Anything was better than actually physically contact between Xavier and Ian.

Ian's stomach flipped once more when he saw Xavier's eyes had turned into slitted onces. Like a cats. Scowling, Ian narrowed his own eyes. "I'm not going to stay away from her. I'll figure out a way to fix this, somehow," he muttered. How could he ever possibly stay away from Lily? She was practically all he thought about anymore!

Chloe nodded. She had a feeling she wasn't helping Lily much. "Do you think Xavier is going to hurt Ian?" She asked softly, almost fearfully.

Xavier refrained from shifting tiger (dino) for if he did he wouldn't be able to say anything to Ian.
"Why? So you can just go and hurt her again maybe?" Xavier growled. He would not stand for this. Ian had been thoughtless so now it was time for Xavier to put him back in line again.

Lily looked over at Chloe, surprised.
"That depends." She smiled half-heartedly. "He'll most likely do his best but sometimes the emotions get the better of us." She hoped Chloe would understand that Xavier would give Ian a chance to explain himself. If now, Xavier would probably loose control. Yet, Lily planned on stopping Xavier before that happened. As soon as there was any sign of fighting, Lily would try to stop Xavier from doing real damage.

Ian continued to scowl at him. "It's not like I wanted to hurt her!" He spat. He didn't want to shift into a coyote, so he tried his bets to control his anger. Taking a deep breath, he looked away angrily. Ian had a feeling no matter what he said to Xavier, he wasn't going to believe a word he said.

Chloe looked down at the floor, her expression clearly fearful. She prayed they wouldn't get into any type of physical fight, for Xavier would probably win. Biting her lower lip, she listened for any signs of fighting, but thankfully heard none.

Which of these usernames sounds better? Freck(meaning keen for mischief, ready for trouble.) or Malist: Someone who feels that the world is just bad. Not the worst or terrible place, but still pretty bad. ))

Xavier only stared. How could Ian think that this wasn't his fault, Xavier would never know. Yet, Xavier had trouble understanding why.
"So, you just said it anyway?" Xavier asked holding back. He would have much rathered to say 'So, you just said it anyway like the jerk you are?' But Ian would most likely only here the jerk part. So Xavier simply stared in disgust at Ian.

"I wouldn't worry if I were you. They had to talk to each other sometime..." Lily trailed off. She felt weak compared to Chloe. I bet she never had her heart broken like this.... Lily sighed mentally. Today was not a good day.

( I like the definition of Freck but I think it sounds weird. XD
Malist sounds more fanciful and mysterious. That's my two cents. ;3 Either one would be a cool/different username. ^^ )

Ian felt the urge to hit Xavier, but he refrained from doing so. Instead, he clenched his hands ever so slightly. "Listen. I admitted what I said and did was stupid. But I regret it more than you can imagine. Now, if that isn't good enough for
you, then that's just too bad," he muttered, his eyes still narrowed.

Chloe nodded slowly, thoughtfully. "Y-yeah, I guess you're right. But I have a feeling a tiger could beat a coyote any day," she murmured. "I just really hope it doesn't come to that," she added. Sighing, she glanced towards the door, wondering what was happening downstairs.

( Haha, that's the exact same thing I thought. Hmm...tough decision(sp?)... )
