A crease formed between Alex's eyes, the only sign she betrayed of her worry. "I see." she said slowly. "6 weeks..." she murmured, more to herself than anything. She sat back on her haunches, deep in thought. "Alright. I won't tell him. But he'll realize, eventually, you know." she said.

Nala nodded. "I know,Alphess." The collie hadn't ment to add 'Alphess' but she dipped her head as she did.

Alex's eyes widened in surprise as the word "Alphess" was tacked onto the end of Nala's sentence. Shaking her head briefly, Alex murmured, "Er... right then. You should get home... DJ'll worry."

Nala nodded, turning to go home befor she paused. "You are allways welcome to our house."

Alex gave a half-hearted shrug. "Sure sure." she said, somewhat skeptically. "I don't want to overstay my welcome." she murmured.

"Your the first visiter, you'll allways be welcomed" She woofed.

Alex smiled ruefully. "You may think so, but DJ might not."

Nala let out a bark of laughter. "He has a crush on you, you know."
