Paul watched as more trainers approached the lab and she smiled and waved at them. "Hello!" She greeted them, "The lab should be opening any second now!" The excitment was apparant in her voice and she was vivibly jumping up and down. And, true to her word, one of Oak's assisstants unlocked the doors and opened them for the trainers.

"Alright, your pokemon are ready and the professor eagerly awaits your arrival."

Paul let out a squee and skipped passed the assisstant to the awaiting professor Oak. She stood before him, silent giggles waiting to burst out of her lips. This is what she has been waiting for all her life!

Sophia walked along the path toward the lab. She saw a few Pidgey flying over the field to her right. She smiled and couldnt wait until she could catch one. She wondered which type she would get. Well fire is great, but weak to water. I can always find a Ponyta or Vulpix. Grass is great, but weak to fire. Well I could find an Oddish or if I am lucky a Deerling. Guess that leaves Water. I do love all the different water types. Especially Squirtle and Totodile. They are adorable! she thought as she neared the entrance.

She noticed that the doors had just opened and she picked up her pace. She saw a few other young trainers and smiled. "Hi!" she said to the nearest one(Phoenix). She gasped at the size of the lab. She turned her gaze to the professor before them. She wiggled with excitement at what awaited them. Oh I hope I get a sweet one! she thought with a smile.

Phoenix smiled back at the new trainer walking up. She walked into the lab behind the others as they walked in. "Wow!" She said smiling looking around the lab "this place is awesome." She said to no one in particular as she spotted proffesir Oak. She smiled and confidently walked up to stand infront of him putting her hands behind her back crossing her fingers hoping that she would get a good pokemon. Phoenix looked sideways at Paul smiling to her nervously. She wondered what kind of people she would meet on her adventure, and if she would make any friends to travel with this morning.

Blaze ran in, her headphones coming loose and flying off her head. She jumped up and down with joy. "I wanna a fire type! I wanna fire type!" She squeeled over and over. She remembered her headphones and ran out to get it. She came back in with her headphones askew. "Do we get to choose now?" She asked impatiently. She was squirming a little, but she shoved her hands in her pockets. She pulled them out again and started pacing, not able to keep still.

Paul raised a brow at the new arrival with askew head phones. "You could act a little more mature you know." She looked the girl up and down, then turned to Oak.

Oak nodded, "We will wait just a bit longer for more arrivals, but those late won't get first choice. Thank you all for being on time, hopefully your peers will show up soon."

Howie thought over all the starters, she had already decided on a fire type, despite her brother saying it would be a glass cannon. She had five other pokemon she could raise to support a fire type. Her strength would not depend on one pokemon alone.

Blaze calmed down a little. "Aww... I hate waiting." She said grumpily, then sat on the floor listening to the music on her headphones. She fixed then so they were no longer askew. She looked up at Paul. "So what's your name?" She asked, her attitude lifting and she smiled wide. She took her headphones so she could her the other trainer.

Walking with utterly perfect posture and a pleasant smile on her sharp face, Annaleise finally reached the crest of the grass hill upon which rested the famous laboratory of Professor Oak. Adjusting the slack straps of her backpack, Anna gave herself a very slight shake. By going out to travel the Kanto region, she was defying her parents - rebelling against them and drinking in the sheer adrenaline of it all. She hadn't even received her first Pokémon, and already she was feeling rather proud of herself. Still, a slight whisper of anxiety crept into her mind, and only as she knocked on the lab door and walked steadily inside did she manage to brush her doubts aside. Already, several people had arrived to receive their first Pokémon, just like her. She politely nodded to the wiry old professor and stood towards the back of the group, her narrow eyes surveying the clean lab and the people within it with a vague curiosity.
