Jared pulled away when she had passed out. He had taken in a good amount of her blood then. He just held her limp body in his arms. That is, until he fell against the ground. The other vampire's blood was reacting with his own in a not so pleasant way. He'd be perfectly fine in a few hours, but he didn't seem to be enjoying it. He immediately drew his hands to his head, trying to stop a throbbing headache.

Mitch opened up an eye and sat up. He couldn't possibly sleep during a time like this. He still had a gut feeling that Auvian was going to do something to him and he'd much rather be awake than asleep. He rubbed his eyes and moved toward the furthest end of his cage, sighing. He glanced around, his gaze resting on that other girl once more. He didn't dare speak, fearing he'd wake her.

Cariallie looked at Jared watching him. She smelled the food she was to eat and whimpered. It was a burger but she wasn't sure she could eat. Why give her such foods while in here with him? The light entered the room the same time that the idea formed in her head. They wanted her well feed to tempt Jared. That and possibly drug her. She looked at Jared and looked at the tray that was slid into the room. She bit her lower lip and watched Jared's face. "Should I eat it?"

Auvian growled in her sleep and rolled over.

"If you're starving, then eat it." Jared watched her for a moment and threw himself at the door, but it closed before he reached it again. He slumped against the door of the cage with a sigh. "But, it could be contaminated or something. If it's a risk you're willing to take, then take it."

Mitch stiffened slightly when Auvian growled. At first, he thought that she growled at him, but she was still asleep. Sighing with relief, he pressed his back against the bars of the cage. "Surly there's a way out," he mumbled under his breath, glancing over to Auvian for a moment. He hoped that him talking to himself wouldn't wake her.

Auvian's eyes snapped open. "I wouldn't try to get out if I were you.There's a sensor rigged to the entryway.People can get in,but not out,unless they have a key card."

Cariallie sniffed it and groaned before taking a bite. It tasted better than she'd imagined. She remembered now that they always gave her good food when she was in a cage to be the bleeder for a vampire. She looked over at him. She still wasn't sure if there was posion in it or not but she'd risk it if it meant she would die in here with him. She tugged his pant leg gently watching him throw himself at the door. She shook her head slowly. "Not yet, Jared." She whispered. "Not yet."

"A key card, hm?" Mitch tapped his chin and closed his eyes. "I know the guards will most certainly come and check on me and you. They hold those things, right?" He smiled lightly and looked out to the other cages. "I just want out of the cage at least. And, we can't just leave all of the creatures here too. I'd help them out, that is, if I ever get out of the cage at least. And, if you escape too, of course. I don't want to sound self-centered."

"Why not?" Jared asked in a low tone, his deep red eyes watching her. "At least I'm trying to attempt to get out of here." He sighed a little and rested his head against the cage. "But, all of the attempts were failures. Being trapped her for over twenty years too. That shows how much of a failure I am. I should have been gone by now. The place would cease to exist, since I'd bring every creature with me." He paused and glanced over to her again. "You wouldn't be trapped here either."

Cariallie stood up and wrapped her arms around him. She buried her face into his chest. "Were you listening to what the guards were saying?" She said softly. She looked up into his eyes. "I'm to go to testing soon. That's the chance I'm waiting for." She said softly. "If I don't make it out, make sure the others do get out, Jared." She looked up at him. "Promise me you'll make it out." She hid her face in his chest as she shivered.

Jared sighed a little and wrapped her arms around her, holding her close. "I usually don't listen to what the guards are saying," he mumbled, running his hand through her hair. "Thing is, I can't leave without you. I'll free the others, but I'll come back for you."
