Holding onto time

Cassi tried her best to frown,but her stitches made that very diffacult.
"I don't know." She said.

"Oh, hhmmmmmm."

"I guess someone thought I was dead, stitched up mouth, and stuffed me in a coffin. Thank goodness they were too stupid close the casket! I ran off to the abondoned fairground two years ago. So basicaly-I'm two years old." Cassi laughed.

"Oh my! Nice. Mine is a very long story. Some other time I think. We should stick together. After we find out more about one another, so that we aren't suspicious."

"I'm about to learn my last name." Cassi smiled. She turned over the library card and read it.
"Knight,Cassandra. Checked out-148. Brought back-147." She read out loud.

((....hmmm...i'll think of something.))

"Whoa!" Amber said shocked. "Does that mean 148 books?! That is WAY, almost TOO many for ONE human being!"

"The number is editable-that means how many I checked out in total. Not 148 at the same time!" Cassi laughed. She stroked her chin.
"Knight,Knight,Knight-I read about a Knight family once-but I wasn't in it. I wish I was though!They were filthy rich!" She sighed.

Talon hissed as one of the girls yelled something at him. He growled, and turned but they had already crept away. The two were going into the basement of what he supposed was the library. Spying from the tree's he watched them creep inside. He looked around and slowly crept up to the door thinking I suppose I have nothingbetter to do. He pressed his eye to the crack, straining to see in the darkness.
