thankfully he didnt see her. He wasnt the brightest tool in the shed. "Look at you all tough with a gun" He smirked and threw me to the ground and the gun slid under the couch. "Get out of my house!" I roared and lunged for him knowing that i wouldnt win but annoy him to the point where he would leave. I couldnt take him because i was so hyped up on fear i couldnt concentrate. but i did my best, breaking things in the process. Nearly getting thrown into the lit fireplace before i threw him into the window and it broke and he fell out of it and took off. I didnt get away unscathed. Kacy held Chloe' against her chest and burried her face in Chloe's back as she listened to all the comotion down stairs. The noise seemed to scare Chloe' too, as she started to squirm and cry "Shhhh...baby don't cry" she whispered. Once the noise had stopped, Kacy slowly opened up the nursury door, and walked downstairs.

I was on the ground and had just gotten my gun out from under the couch. I heard Chloe crying upstairs the poor thing. I hated that she had to go through almost the same thing I did. With that Jackass of a man i used to call dad. I moaned in pain and turned over on my back blood running down my cheek from my mouth and a cut above my eye.

Kacy stopped halfway down the steps, and the tears came from her eyes again when she saw Jake. She wanted desperatly to help him, but she also wanted to desperatly leave. "I-I....I have to get out of here..." she whispered

"Dammit" I hissed and sat up weakly and pulled myself to the couch. I looked over and saw Kacy and looked at the gun down in my hand and chucked it across the room and it slid across the floor.

Kacy watched Jake in silence before continuing down the stairs, and walking towards the front door. She placed her hand on the knob, but stopped and looked at him over her shoulder. "I love you Jake, but this is just too much for me.." She said before turning and walking out the front door.

At that moment i wished i hadnt thrown the gun...I sighed and hauled myself to my feet and managed to call my one friend to help put in a new window. He'd do it sometime today. After hanging up with him after a few second conversation. I heard Chloe still crying upstairs eventhough she wasnt there i knew she wasnt. She had left with Kacy. I slowly made my way upstairs and into the nursery. Tears stung the cuts on my face and i sighed and leaned over her crib and picked up her one blanket felt it in my hands. That was the moment i decided I was going to toughen up and take him on. I turned and fell to my knees and cried clutching the blanket in my hands

Kacy put Chloe' in her carseat in the back of the Ford that she had bought. She opened up the drivers side door and started to get in, but stopped and turned back towards the house, looking it over one more time before getting in the car, starting it, and pulling down the long driveway. Tears stinging her eyes, and fear and regret stinging her heart the further away she drove.

I held the blanket in one hand now and my cell phone in the other. I called Kacy's number knowing she probably wouldnt answer.

Kacys phone began to ring, and she was shocked when she picked it up and saw it was Jake. She hesitated for a bit, but reluctantly she answered "What?" she said, not meaning to be mean, she just wasn''t in the mood.
