Kacy turned off the comedy show that was now on the tv, and looked out the window in complete silence. The entire house was quiet, almost scarey quiet. The only noise was the clock on the wall, and Chloe's soft breathing as she slowly started to drift asleep.

The next sound that filled the house was a sigh that came out in a gust. "Hows the baby?" I finally spoke up

Kacy slightly jumped when Jake spoke up in the silence "Ohh umm she's fine.." she replied quickly

"Alright, Do you mind if i run out real quick?" I asked and walked over to her.

"sure" she replied flatly as she continued to look out the window at the falling snow

"Alright keep the doors locked and call me with any problems" I said and gave her a kiss and gently stroked Chloe's cheek

"whatever" she replied with a sigh, not even looking at him. It really bothered her that he was acting like this all of a sudden, but she wasn't about to say anything to him about it

I sighed and grabbed my coat as i walked out the door with my keys arming the alarm system and went out to the truck and went to go get something i may need in the future now. I came back after testing a few with one that was hidden out of sight from her and I put it upstairs in my drawer so she couldnt find it and came back down.

While Jake was out, Chloe' had fallen asleep so Kacy had taken her back upstairs and put her back in her crib. She walked back down stairs, and sitting on the couch again in complete silence
