"Great! JUst what I wanna look like!" she said laughing and shaking her head. She then remembered that her dad had hit her in the stomach. She reached down and pulled her shirt up over her stomach, wich looked like it could pop any day now. "Oh my god" she whispered when she saw all the purple and black bruises that covered her stomach

I sighed and dropped my head to the side. "Our baby girl was put to the test tonight" I said taking her hand.

"Do you think she's ok?" she asked as she placed her other hand on her stomach and gently ran her hand over the tender skin.

"If she's anything like you..Im sure she's fine. If not someone's gonna get a visit from me in Jail" I said softly and gave her a kiss on the nose.

She smiled against his kiss as she pulled her shirt back down "Now we have to figure out where we are gonna stay." she said with a sigh.

"Do you wanna go home?" I asked softly. "Skip the shower?"

She sighed as she thought about it "I hate to, but I guess we have no other choice" she said as she looked up at him

"We'll leave first thing tomorrow morning" I said softly and stroked her hand

She nodded her head in aggreement "Sounds like a plan" she said with a smile, trying to lighten the mood. Everything was going to be better now, and she didnt want him to worry

Then we got to the Hospital. I walked with her to the emergency room. "Im sorry i couldnt be there earlier" I said softly
