The Romantic Life of Summer (No Longer Accepting!)

Jalex laughed,"Oh he already knows." he said and placed his hands on the back of his head,"He's moping in our room." he said and sat down at a table,"I starved." he commented quickly,"Do you want anything?" he asked and kissed her forhead.

"Actually, I already ate. But, there's a problem. My older brother just got here and we have to tell him as soon as possible. Right now we better not disturb him, because he's with Mika and he will just get angry at me if I try to talk to him." said Rose, smiling. She hugged Zero and sat down at the table.

Zero flinched,"You didn't say you had a brother...an older one at that." he sat down by her,"This is getting complicated." he said and put his arm over her chair. He thought for a long moment,"I'm acting more like Jalex then Zero." he sighed and put his head in one hand and maoned,"He told me this would happen." he complained.

[Nostalgia]

((I will. Even if it's the middle of the night and I'm half asleep I will!))

"You don't need to worry about Jake. He just wants me to be happy. Anyway, you have to be yourself. I liked you more than Jalex, so you are pretty nice when you relax." Rose shrugged and laughed. She wasn't scared to tell Jake. She knew he would take it well. He would probably just laugh and hug her. Then, he would make a joke about Zero and her, they would burst out laughing and everything would be fine.

"So, enough about me. Why are you here?" asked Jake. He moved closer to Mika and looked deeply into her eyes. Rose was always telling him that any girl would fall for that gaze. He had never agreed with her, but it couldn't hurt to try. Look at me, taking relationship advice from my little sister! he laughed freely. He really liked Mika. He would do anything to make her feel the same way.

At that time, random as usual for camp counselors, the workers of the hotel came out, handing every person a small envelope with a seal on the back. Once opened it states....

Dear, _____________
You are cordially invited to tonight's Summer Kick Off Dance. This dance is formal, so girls don't forget your dresses, and boys, wear your tuxes! The dance will begin at six o'clock, ending at midnight. Afterwards, bring your swimsuits for a midnight swim!
Boys, don't forget to ask your special girl!
~The Dance will take place in the ballroom in the Hotel, directions to the Ballroom will be located in the hotel lobby.

Zero shrugged a little,"Okay." he relaxed a little,"Do you want to go and swim?" he asked quietly. He was wanting to get away from the people at the shack. He got up slowly,"come on." he said and put his hand out.

A rather short girl, seemingly young for her age, ran up to both Zack and Rose, handing them envelopes.

A guy, rather tall this time, walked up to Mitch and Alec, handing them both envelopes. The boy winked, seeing Alec though and she smiled, in truth, she knew the guy, he was an old friend, but Mitch wouldn't know.... ((x] Drama!!))

The same short girl ran up to Mika and Jake, handing them envelopes as well. She turned, walking away quickly, knowing that she had interrupted, but then again, it was her job.

Another boy, average height, but also young looking walked up to Lexi, handing her an envelope as well as running to give Jalex his.

The same guy who came to Alec and Mitch ran to Aubrie. "Here you go." He smiled, walking away slowly.

"I'm always up for swimming." Rose said simply. She realised what he wants to do. She took his hand and smiled again. She felt happy that he listened to her and loosened up a little. She followed him to the beach. She thought about the ball and decided to get all the girls that she met, in her room before the ball today. They could do each other's hair and make-up. It would be fun! She couldn't wait to ask them. But, then she realised that maybe Zero wasn't going to ask her. Her heart sped up in panic and her breath quickened. She calmed herself, so Zero wouldn't see anything. Unfortunately, the thought was already planted in her mind. She started imagining awful things.

Mika nodded, his eyes...she really liked him. "I live in new hampshire, on a ranch, with lots of animals..." she said, then looked down at the envelope. She opened it aand read it, then looked shyly at Jake. She waited for him to say something. She sat up more and leaned on her hand closer to him.
