Rune laughed softly as she raced around him, not really understanding her excitement over what he believed was a completely useless form other than some fur to keep warm on a cold day. "Well, don't doubt it," he said with a smirk as he watched her trying to keep her feet under her, "I would give anything to have your form instead of mine." He returned her wolfish smile with one of his own and then playfully let his own tongue flop out of his mouth too. He realized he was having a lot more fun with her right now than he had in a long time so he was glad she still wanted him to go running with her despite his warnings and short comings.
Amara listened to him quietly, it was nice having a one-on-one conversation that didn't really deal with trying to resolve some kind of issue with the pack. "Pretty much anyone that has issues with authority have them for a very good reason. And if I'm to be completely honest I have a lot of issues with it as well, that's part of the reason I wanted to lead this Pack, both so I didn't have to be under anyone's rule and to keep those that are under me from developing problems with authority." She smirked and shrugged, leaning forward to brace her elbows on her. He might think he didn't make any sense but she perfectly understood what he was saying and she nodded, "It's mostly a problem with those that don't know how to be happy, so they think ordering people around will make them happy. While my life might be a lot easier if I had everyone running around catering to my every need I know I'd be miserable if I were that kind of Alpha. Also they don't realize how rewarding the bond I have with my Pack can be."
"No one is perfect and we've all done things we regret," Cavan replied as he moved out of Paion's way.
"Hello," Paion replied with a friendly smile as she sat beside Lucas. She inspected the scrapes he'd received from the gravel, gently cleaned out any bits of debris and then rested her hand on his shoulder to heal the cuts and bruises with her powers. "There you are, good as knew."

But in the corner, at the cold
hour of dawn, sat the poor girl, with
rosy cheeks and with a smiling mouth,
leaning against the wall--frozen to
death on the last evening of the old
year. Stiff and stark sat the child
there with her matches, of which
one bundle had been burnt.
"She wanted to warm herself,"
people said. No one had the
slightest suspicion of what
beautiful things she had seen;
no one even dreamed of the
splendor in which, with her
grandmother she had entered
on the joys of a new year.
