The young girl nodded her head, flicking her long red curls around her, carelessly. "I see." She spoke in a sort of sigh, her shoulders slumping as she adjusted her gaze. Her black and white eyes moved down and focused on her hands which she moved to clasp together. "That's a real shame, Rune. At least you're with a pack now - somewhere where you're away from humans and more in-touch with your wolf side." A soft smile flickered along her pale lips, but it was soon banished by the same voice pounding in her head, demanding her attention. "What?" She suddenly snapped, her voice closer to a wolf's snarl than anything human. She immediately flinched and began to silently pray that Rune didn't question her. "Hey - uh.. Wanna go for a run or something?" Kiah asked the brute, pushing herself upright so she was able to bounce on the balls of her feet. "I'm a little bored just hanging around here. We should.. hunt, or.. I don't know.. Do something interesting." The painful laughter of Taras continued to sound in the back of her mind.

The young man tilted his head to the side once again, the sympathetic expression growing. "You're very caring, Amara. That's an admirable quality." He nodded at her, amber eyes wide and locked directly on hers. He slowly stood and moved a little closer, taking a seat on one of the separate chairs not too far from hers, so they could continue their conversation without raising their voices to an uncomfortable level. When he spoke again, his voice was quieter and felt much better to project, "I'm glad to hear your exhausting efforts were not wasted and that this pack member is okey now."

"Yea, sure," Rune muttered with a nod. He knew he should really think of it that way, but no matter what he tried the only way he could see it was being surrounded by others that just seemed to highlight how inadaquite he really was. He started slightly when she snapped and he looked at her in confusion, but by her expression and sudden change in topic he figured she wanted it left alone so he left it. He sighed and shrugged at her question and said, "You might as well go without me or find another. I'll just slow you down. Since my wolf doesn't even have four feet I can't run very fast and besides I won't be able to go very far." He did actually enjoy running, but he only ever did so alone because others always got impaitent with his slowness.

Amara smiled at Toto and shrugged, "Well caring for my Pack was the closest thing I could get to being an mother. I can't help it." She laughed softly and watched him move from the floor to a chair. It was well known throughout the pack how much she wanted kids of her own, but she'd never accepted the advances of any of the pack's Brutes. She nodded at his last comment, "Me too. My pack is my family and I hate it when any of them have troubles. So taking care of them is where I get most of the joy in my life."

(but she got him from The Authority and it was the Bloodfangs that went to The Authority not the Nightclaws, so you'd have to change his whole past to get him over to the NCs; of course you could always have her find him where ever she gets kidnapped and reintroduce him)

The redhead grinned almost manically, "No way, Rune. Even if I get impatient or whatever, I can just shift to my human form and run alongside you that way." She shrugged her frail shoulders and once again bounced on the balls of her feet. Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail but many strands had come loose, framing her face and tickling her cheeks and collarbones. Ignoring the sensation as best she could, she reached over to the brute and began to tap continuously on his shoulder. "Come onnnn, please? It'll be fun - even if we don't hunt. I just need to.. Um, distract myself. When I get bored, I get annoying." She lied rather smoothly, although she supposed it wasn't really untrue. When she got bored, she definitely became rather irritating. "Just a light jog? We can enjoy the scenery of the forest."

The Omega nodded his head, his expression still a mixture of sympathy and excitement. It was an odd combination, but Toto managed to pull it off to some extent. "Well, that's impressive." He really did admire Amara. She was fascinating to him in basically every aspect. How one dedicated so much of their time to the feelings of others was beyond him - although he desperately tried to do the same thing, he always struggled. It seemed as though his personality just wasn't compatible with most. "Are you taking care of yourself, though? There's no point in caring for others if you are not caring for yourself, also."
