The Healers finished bandaging Issac's lesser wounds and then carried him up to his room where he could recover in peace. There were some of the usual murmurings about Eztli and her demon, many of them had never approved of Cavan keeping her in the Pack and endangering others, now that it was more than just Cavan that had gotten hurt the protests were starting the rise again.
By the time the Healer was finished with Cavan's wounds the Alpha had passed out from the combination of blood loss and pain, which had really just made it easier on the both of them. She sat back heavily, her breathing coming in pants as if she'd just run several miles. It was a minute or two before she got back up and helped one o the soldiers get Cavan onto the Lead Warrior's back and then Eztli on another's. Too tired to run back herself she too hitched a ride and the group started back.
Amara smirked at him as she put her plate in the dishwasher, "You're the guy, aren't you supposed to plan the date?"
