The healer caught Issac as he fell and lowered him gently to the ground. She winced as she inspected his wounds, no wonder he'd passed out. She took a deep breath and placed her hands on the wound and let her powers flow into his body, mending him from the inside out, the lung first, then the surrounding tissues, the bones, the muscles and lastly the skin. She sighed as she rocked back on her heels, taking the usual wave of fatigue in stride. She rested a moment then looked over the rest of his body, only healing the worst of his wounds to conserve her energy, knowing she'd need it for Cavan. When she finished she plopped down on the ground saying, "The other healers will take care of the rest."
"Take him back," the Lead Soldier ordered the youngest one there and she watched as two shifted to help put Issac on the soldier's back. "You go with him," she then ordered one of the others, "just in case." They nodded and took off with him.
Cavan could feel his strength waning, he'd lost a lot of blood already and was only loosing more. He knew he needed to finish this quickly, she certainly wasn't getting any weaker and it would only make things harder on him and easier on her. He looked around, still being sure to dodge her attacks. Then he smirked and took off running.
"Where are you going coward?!" Sinka snarled and ran after him, he'd only gotten a second head start and she was faster than he was, but he wasn't going far.
He leapt through a couple very close trees just as she tried to snap her teeth into his tail and her head went through but her wider shoulders got wedged between them. He spun around and laughed softly, "No where really, just like you." She roared in anger and started to try and wiggle free. Cavan knew he had to move fast, she'd get free before long. He shifted and half ran, half dragged himself back to her, just barely away from her snapping jaws and waited for the perfect second to wrap his arms around her muzzle. She growled and tried to fling him off but he held on stubbornly and managed to get into a position where he could look into one of her huge eyes and said in a commanding voice, "Chichi ahyectli."
Sinka growled in anger but was already being pushed back down into her prison. Cavan released her and dropped heavily to the ground.
Amara shrugged, "Probably Alphay stuff." She grinned and took a very large bite of food.

But in the corner, at the cold
hour of dawn, sat the poor girl, with
rosy cheeks and with a smiling mouth,
leaning against the wall--frozen to
death on the last evening of the old
year. Stiff and stark sat the child
there with her matches, of which
one bundle had been burnt.
"She wanted to warm herself,"
people said. No one had the
slightest suspicion of what
beautiful things she had seen;
no one even dreamed of the
splendor in which, with her
grandmother she had entered
on the joys of a new year.
