Issac's eyes widened slightly as Sinka turned back around to look at him. He nodded at Cavan when he yelled at him, turning to half hobble half run into the trees. He felt a little worried about him, but he knew that he was no use in his state anyway.

Alastair grinned and nodded. "I'm very proud of myself." He took some more food into his mouth.

Cavan was relieved that Issac left instead of trying to stick around and help, not wanting to risk further injury to the boy, and he knew he'd meet the healers soon enough. He growled as Sinka's claw caught his hindquarters and sent him sprawling. Right, pay attention to the demon.

"You should be," Amara replied with a chuckle as she took a large bite of food.

But in the corner, at the cold
hour of dawn, sat the poor girl, with
rosy cheeks and with a smiling mouth,
leaning against the wall--frozen to
death on the last evening of the old
year. Stiff and stark sat the child
there with her matches, of which
one bundle had been burnt.

Issac limped away from the two of them, knowing that Sinka hated her host's brother with a burning passion, one unmatched by anyone else. The thought worried him further, but that just meant that Sinka wouldn't follow him. He lifted his head when he scented the Lead Healer, which made him sigh/sputter in relief. "Thank God.. You came too.."

Alastair chuckled as well, turning back to his breakfast and eating the rest of it.

The Healer and her group of soldiers ran up to Issac and the soldiers gathered around him, forming a protective circle around the two of them. Sinka wasn't the only danger here, they were out of the territory now, anyone that didn't want them around was free to attack so they were being extra careful. "Of course," the Healer said as she shifted to her human form and knelt by him, "We don't let our Alpha go off and try to get himself killed without backing him up." She laughed softly, trying to defuse the tension.

Amara laughed softly and cleaned off her plate then got a smaller second-helping and dug into that as well.

(I figured you would sleep soon ^.^ goodnight)

Issac fought for breath, but still managed to smile at the Healer's little joke. Before he knew what was happening, his vision grew fuzzy and tinged with black. His legs buckled and he fell awkwardly to his knees, still feeling winded. His vision then blacked out completely, leaving him unconscious on the ground.

Alastair smirked and scraped his plate as well, coming back to his seat when the plate made its way into the sink. "So, what should we do today?"

(Haha, shoulda gone to bed earlier, I'm still exhausted  was too excited that you were on and posting)

The healer caught Issac as he fell and lowered him gently to the ground. She winced as she inspected his wounds, no wonder he'd passed out. She took a deep breath and placed her hands on the wound and let her powers flow into his body, mending him from the inside out, the lung first, then the surrounding tissues, the bones, the muscles and lastly the skin. She sighed as she rocked back on her heels, taking the usual wave of fatigue in stride. She rested a moment then looked over the rest of his body, only healing the worst of his wounds to conserve her energy, knowing she'd need it for Cavan. When she finished she plopped down on the ground saying, "The other healers will take care of the rest."
"Take him back," the Lead Soldier ordered the youngest one there and she watched as two shifted to help put Issac on the soldier's back. "You go with him," she then ordered one of the others, "just in case." They nodded and took off with him.

Cavan could feel his strength waning, he'd lost a lot of blood already and was only loosing more. He knew he needed to finish this quickly, she certainly wasn't getting any weaker and it would only make things harder on him and easier on her. He looked around, still being sure to dodge her attacks. Then he smirked and took off running.
"Where are you going coward?!" Sinka snarled and ran after him, he'd only gotten a second head start and she was faster than he was, but he wasn't going far.
He leapt through a couple very close trees just as she tried to snap her teeth into his tail and her head went through but her wider shoulders got wedged between them. He spun around and laughed softly, "No where really, just like you." She roared in anger and started to try and wiggle free. Cavan knew he had to move fast, she'd get free before long. He shifted and half ran, half dragged himself back to her, just barely away from her snapping jaws and waited for the perfect second to wrap his arms around her muzzle. She growled and tried to fling him off but he held on stubbornly and managed to get into a position where he could look into one of her huge eyes and said in a commanding voice, "Chichi ahyectli."
Sinka growled in anger but was already being pushed back down into her prison. Cavan released her and dropped heavily to the ground.

Amara shrugged, "Probably Alphay stuff." She grinned and took a very large bite of food.

(Haha ikr? So exciting ^.^)

Issac moaned in his slumber, feeling the tissues and sinews being rearranged and put back together. If he was awake, he probably would've been trying not scream, but since he wants he wouldn't have to worry. He felt himself being lifted and carried to safety, but his body didn't feel like waking him up just yet.

(That's kinda cool how Cavsn is always the only one that can subdue Sinka)
Alastair snorted. "Well, that narrows it down." He rolled his eyes and looked over at her. "What about after that? We could go out for dinner, if you want."

(yes, very, especially since you haven't been on at all lately)

The Healer and Soldiers watched them carry Issac away before turning at the sound of an angry war. "Come on," the Lead Warrior said and they took off again towards their Alpha and his sister, surrounding the Healer on all sides.

By the time they reached them Eztli had fully reverted back and Cavan was holding her close, leaning against a tree. Once more the soldiers encircled them as the Healer shifted again and knelt by him. "She was never supposed to come back here," he muttered quietly, it was hard to hear though 'cause his face was buried in her hair.
"I know," she said softly as she very slowly pulled the girl away from her brother and laid her gently on the ground. Cavan resisted for a second but then released her knowing she was just trying to help and get to his wounds. He winced and tilted his head back to rest it against the tree. "Oh, Cavan!" she muttered in horror as she saw the extent of his injuries. When he'd saved Issac her large fangs and powerful jaws had not only shattered several ribs but had also punctured a few organs and when she'd thrown him her serrated fangs had ripped out huge chunks of flesh. She'd never seen it this bad, but then usually he did a pretty good job of keeping out of her mouth instead of jumping in it.
He chuckled dryly and said, "Well, that will happen when you make yourself demon bait, the worm always gets the worst of it." He clinched his teeth and groaned as she placed a hand on his side and started to slowly heal him, this would probably take a while.

It took a long time but the two soldiers eventually made it back with Issac. The one without the load shifted as they got to the door and opened it so that the other one could just walk right in, but then he only got a few steps inside before others came and gently lifted Issac up and laid him on the couch. A couple of the other healers came and started to tend to his lesser woulds.
(heehee, well, he is the one that knows her best)

Amara laughed softly at his snort and replied, "Yea, that was the point." She nodded at his offer and said, "That sounds like a great plan." She finished off her second helping then carried her plate to the sink and cleaned it off.

Issac was unaware of the extent of Cavan's injuries, since he had run from them, but he was worried about him. Jumping straight into Sinka's mouth to save him was definitely not a good idea. He knew that he was lucky in a way that he didn't sustain too many bad injuries like Cavan did.

Alastair smirked. "Okay. Where should we go?" He stood from the table to lean on it and look at her.

Jerome saw it too, and got slightly nervous. He didn't know he, but he really felt the need to be suddenly the perfect man she had ever met.
