(This is a remake of my old rp that died. I hope this one lives. We are all starting fresh! ^_^)

The world as we know it has collapsed. An alien plague called simply, the Decay, has been released into the world by a meteor and killed almost everyone. But the meteor also blessed many with powers. The Decay dose just what the name implies~ it decays everything it touches; plants, humans and animals alike. Cars don't work but vehicles like Motorcycles still run, cable sucks(only re-runs) but the internet is better than ever- oh and electricity/plumbing still works too. Only the strong have survived so far. The world's population has been concentrated to one continent and is now ruled completely by a King, named Jackson Darken. They have all been seemingly brainwashed and obey his commands without pause. Well... mostly all of them. There is one group, the Rebels, that still oppose the ruler. This Rebels are divided into three parts, The Masked, The Shadows and the Regulars. To them, the king is called the Rotter and his law enforcers (guards) are called Rots. The Masked are the Rebel's right hand and based more on hacking the King's data and gathering information- spies if you will. The Shadows are the assassins, more in tune to the night. Both sections fight for freedom. Then there is the Darkens, the warriors of the King, spies and Assassins alike. Those are the Rebel's worst offender and their main problem.

What is the decay exactly...?
The decay sounds like a virus. And it is quite similar but it is more like a wild animal in the form of pure blackness. It is an alien species, most like the fictional demons of human fiction. It can split into many clouds- this allows it to be in several places at once- and take on many forms, the two main being black dust and grey fog. The Decay doesn't need to eat or drink, but it singles out those who are pure of heart because of its overwhelming urge to taint the world. This includes plants, animals and humans alike. It currently resides on the side of the Darkens because it likes the blackness of their souls and obeys the Darken's leader and children without pause. It is rumored to patrol the castle of the Darkens.

Rebel Details:

All Rebels Live at the Rebel's Headquarters in spacious rooms similar to this. The wings are divided into four parts. The Masked Wing, the Shadow Wing and the Dorm Wing, and the with the Leader's office in the very center and the Dining room tucked in the back. The Masked wing's office desks all look similar to this. The training room looks like this, though, there is also an archery and shooting range. The rebel's HQ is well-outfitted for complete living and training.

The Masked:
The Masked are basically the intel division of the Rebels, they are computer hackers, spies and are usually in charge of the Trainees. Very often they are assigned to the King's palace- their job being to sneak in and gather information without being caught. The Masked usually are masters of disguise and usually have the power to compel or mind-speak. They are led by a young man that goes by the name "Glitch".
The Shadows:
The Shadows are the killers, and the Elite of the Rebels. They are usually assigned to kill targets of various kinds- from people that know too much, to the King's advisers. The Shadows are said to never be seen and are often written off as tricks of the mind. They usually possess the power of illusion or shadow-bending. They are lead by the legendary Selene Summers.
The Messengers:
These people usually have an photographic memory and move quite fast. They have a wide range of powers, all that make them designed perfectly for their job.
The Trainees:
The Trainees are a young bunch of individuals that have been accepted into the Rebels and are being trained. They are usually under the command of Glitch and are sometimes assigned to duties reserved for the Masked. Once training is completed and a trainee is of age, they are assigned an official group. Only the elite of these young ones join the Shadows, the most cunning join the Masked and the rest join the regular Rebels.
Regular Rebels:
The regular rebels are fighters. But yet they are not the best. Regular people from farmers to the buisness owners can fall in this category. They are nothing special and their powers range from conjuring to fire-control.
Lone Rebels:
Lone Rebels are rebels who still rebel against the King, though do not answer to Zaiden. They can also be ex-rebels who decided to leave the Rebel's organization and work alone.
Jobs of the Darkens:
The Darkens fight for the king. They obey him- mostly- and are quite good fighters. Their powers range just like the regular rebels, but they are twice as strong than that of a regular Rebel.

If you are a little behind on the technical terms, I can move things with my mind, heal small wounds and minor sicknesses and I can sense/control other people's emotions. Due to my medical conditions from that horrible Earth-tainting-alien-monster, I often pass out from using the first 2 of my powers and I am unable to heal myself. Being an Empath is rather stressful... always feeling what other people feel, always hearing their secret desires in my head; sometimes I want to shut it all off."
Side: "My father has his warriors keeping a very close eye on me, especially after Aeron left and I became sick. I hate what he is doing to the people with that monster... However one of them made the mistake of letting us go out alone so now I'm with the rebels."

Personality: Carson is obviously very sensitive about the emotions of others; being an Empath makes it hard to ignore others. She isolates herself because of this, she will come across as slightly cold and uncaring despite her empathy. Her own emotions are kept in careful check, preventing herself from being attached to anyone after her brother abandoned them 3 years ago. Some people regard her as a simple princess who has no thoughts of her own, but they are entirely wrong; being a genius runs in the family and she is always thinking about something or another. She is also sickly, often too weak to leave the Darken home without being driven or carried by security personal... this leads to people thinking she is a spoiled child despite her clear illness.
Physical Description: Carson is a small girl of a sickly build and weak stature. She has the family brown hair, but it is lighter than Aeron/Glitch's with blonde streaks occurring occasionally; it goes down to the bottom of her ears and is cut in a semi guy-like style. Her skin is on the pale side, showing signs of her strange illness. Blue eyes, clouded often by medication and sickness, peak out from blonde eye lashes and rare dark circles; little flecks of green randomly glint within the blue depending upon the light in the room. She is clearly frail, small and physically would be unable to put up a fight if one were to arise when her security was not around to save her. It is rare to find her walking on her own due to her medical problems. Her arms have a lot of needle scars and band aids from the medication and Iv's they have to give her daily; the band aids have childish themes to them, but they can sometimes make her smile through the sickness... she also has a jagged scar from her left temple to her left eyebrow, from where she hit her head before going into the coma.
History: "I wasn't always sick. I used to run around outside, smile, talk, climb the trees that the Decay hadn't consumed and play with the few pets we used to have. I adored my brothers and sister but most so my brother Aeron. As the Decay ate more and more of the world, it left behind that special radiation that mutated the last of humanity... but it also started to make me sick. At first I kept it from my siblings and father, didn't tell anyone about the coughing fits I had when alone or the vomiting in the middle of the night. The first one to find out was Aeron, but he promised not to tell. One day, however, I got worse; while outside I became dizzy, fell, hit my head and became unconscious for several days. The others were worried, I could feel it, but I couldn't wake up... the Decay wouldn't let me. My mother was a healer, a much stronger healer than I am, but she wasn't strong enough to survive waking me up from that coma. She died a few days later and father became more harsh and I slowly became unable to leave my room. It was a few years later that Aeron left, I was 13 and I remember not understanding what my father was yelling about in the middle of the night when they discovered him gone. I got worse after that, couldn't walk very well, wouldn't talk to anyone for days on end, stopped eating and ended up needing a breathing machine to keep alive for a year. The breathing machine is in the closet now, just incase I get bad again, but I don't think I'll live long enough to need it; the doctor says so, I heard him talking to my father about it weeks ago... he didn't seem upset about it... he was only mad at Aeron... he blames Aeron for me getting bad before... I try to tell him not to be mad at him for not telling, but he only shouts at me and makes the doctor give me more medicine. My brothers and sister don't know what the doctor said yet, I don't think he'll tell them. Just don't pity the dying girl, I've had enough pity since I got sick, I just want people to understand that the Decay isn't just hurting them; it is hurting my father, just not in the same way it hurts other people... no matter how much he controls it, it's going to kill me sooner or later. He is starting to get desperate, brings anyone who has a healing gift to the house... makes them feel important and then convinces them to try their hand at healing me... every last one of them has exhausted themselves to the point of death or my father lets the Decay finish them off... like I said, he is desperate and I'm not getting better."
Other: "I play the piano when I'm well enough to get out of bed but not well enough to leave the house.. the violin sometime too. I've started an internet diary on a blog site, I want to share my story before I die."

Personality: Ace is a wise cracking little butt head. People find him to be annoying and arrogant, but... well he really is to be honest. He pull pranks on everyone, talks in people's voices to try and lighten everyone's mood and he just likes making people smile. Being rather useless at everything else as a trainee, they just gave him the job of a messenger to get him off the 'teachers' backs. Ace is the comedic relief for the Rebels, in every way shape and form.
Physical Description: Ace is a scrawny kid, not an ounce of muscle or weight on him. On top of being scrawny, he is rather lanky and tall; making his scrawniness even more obvious to the eye. He has a scrap of black hair on the top of his head, brown eyes and a splash or 2 of freckles across his face. Luckily, he doesn't wear glasses or he'd look like an extra-goofy weirdo with his odd anatomy.
History: "I was born to a pair of rebel parents, but they were consumed on one of those missions to kill the 'King'. They were both Shadows, making me rather out of place as their son... I mean, I'm a messenger for crying out loud; the most important job, but also useless in the eyes of everyone. Anyway, I was only 5 when they didn't come back and I didn't understand what was going on until they told me the monster took them away. I knew about the Decay, for the most part anyway, and I knew a childized version of what it did to the people who didn't come back. After that, I grew up with the other kids who had become orphans; just the scrawny prankster."
Other: "I have a picture of mum and dad framed on the dresser in my room and I smoke; I know it kills people, but it's not like I can't be eaten by the Decay at any moment." Last part was sarcastic x3

Powers: "I can literally create a calming affect in the air, one of the reason I was assigned to the youngest princess. I am also able to sense when something is about to happen and react to it quickly, also why I was assigned to Carson. Lastly, I can sense when someone is using their power... not exactly useful with the princess, but very much so with her youngest brother..."
Side: "I am fully obliged and faithful to the Darken family, but I will not pick sides in this petty feud they have with the Rebels. I only protect the princess."
Rank: "I am a warrior... or more specifically a security personnel for Princess Carson Darken."

Personality: Fisher is a very calming and soothing gentleman, he isn't a fan of violence or rage of any sort. He takes his job seriously all the same and would put his own neck on the line for the royal family; specifically Carson who he rather adores in an Uncle sort of way. His duty to the family will always come first, over his personal desires and dreams. He is not as intimidating as the other guards, causing most people to see him more as a protector than a solider. He is the most trusted of the guards and the most trustworthy, even being aloud to keep Carson's money on him when she decides to bring it with them. Due to his second power, he is often the first to react to the princess' fits and her reactions to the rest of the world.... he doesn't quite trust Kyler around his sister all the same, he seems shady to him.
Physical Description: Fisher is a well built but slim man, not as large as most people would stereotypically think a security guard to be. He has shaggy brown hair, a slight hint of a beard and bright green eyes that seem to look into a person's soul. Most people find him rather less frightening than his large counterparts, but he is by far the most dangerous of Carson's guards... trained extensively in hand to hand, weaponry of all kinds and fighting against persons with powers much greater than his own. His reflexes are much quicker than your average person's as well, he is usually the first one to reach the princess when something happens.
History: "I grew up very closely to the Darken family, my own father was somewhat of a close friend of Jackson's father and Zaiden's as well... which is why I mostly refuse to take sides, only protect Jackson's little girl. My mother had left us when I was very young, not yet 4 years old. I didn't grow up with any sort of mother figure, a reason why I understand Carson and her siblings so well. My father was like a drill sergeant for my older brother and myself, we grew up rather hardened. Personality:Maria is kind and has a lovely personality, always willing to give and love those who need it. She is quite shy, so people don’t realise her generosity unless they experience it for themselves, but she is definitely a very kind and warm-hearted person.
Physical Description: Maria has long, dark blonde almost mouse brown hair and big blue eyes. She has flawless skin and no tattoos or piercings other than normal ear piercings, for which she generally only wears silver studs.
History: Maria had a very nice childhood and even though her mother died when she was very young, she was able to live happily with her father. However, when the apocalyptic period came he, like many others, became brainwashed by the king. This happened along with her younger brother Rafael, who is known to be somewhere working as a servant in one of the King’s or Prince’s castles. Her goal within the Shadows is to find him and/or her father and even though she’d rather not be a trained assassin, it’s the only thing she can do.
