The man dropped to the ground, bleeding fiercely, but it didn't matter since he had died as soon as the bullet entered his skull. Kalie gasped for air, his chest rising and falling with every shallow breath. She looked up at Paris, unable to catch a breath, and then she lifted one bloodied hand and laid it over his hand which was on her cheek. "I... Love... You..." Kalie stammered between each deep breath, and then her eyes slowly slid shut. "Help..." she begged, her voice weak and shattered.
Suddenly, all the boys rushed forward and crowded around Kalie. The eldest boy grabbed onto Paris' shoulders firmly and pulled him away from Kalie, his eyes blurring as tears brimmed in his eyes. "Leave her alone!" the boy roared, whipping his gaze around to the redheaded boy who had crouched down beside Kalie. The redheaded boy gasped and then leaped away from Kalie, his eyes wide with fear and worry.
