Storm kept his ground as a second bird- Kid landed. He kept the minds away from them thinking he was hue to hunt them by looking surprised.

Riley bared her teeth slightly. "Well sorry!" She spat, snapping out her wings and lunging at Storm, whirling around into a powerful roundhouse kick. "Leave him to me. I will not be fooled!" She hissed.

I could taste the adrenaline in me on my tongue and scented it on the air. I would respect her wishes for now and stand down but the second she lost the upper hand I would pounce. Besides, she needed to be able to protect herself.

Storm let out a low growl behind his clenched teath, and almost fully dodged the kick then nailed the kid in the side of the head with a very powerful punch.
