He narrowed his eyes and saw a figure moving through the trees, too close to Riley for comfort. Ren didn't even think, he automatically took off in that direction, leaving Fang on the balcony.

She sensed someone was looking at her, and went on instant alert. She may be on the ground now, but she could easily fly off or fight. Spreading her large wings out wide, she prepared to take off. "Who's there." She snapped.
