Romance in a novel with onley a few pages

Rose left it at that, she was so tired so she just closed her eyes and listend to the sound of their foot steps on cobble stone.
Tim held her tail gently making sure it was coverd. Her scales where softer then they used to be and she was obviously cut up.

"alright, so should we start serching?" he asked

Tim nodded And looked around. The town was old and grim. Everybody gave dirty looks and nobody blinked a eye at Rose.

devin was on edge as they walked his fingers tightened around rose, his eyes darting back and forth

Tim nodded at a B&B with a wooden sign hanging above the door saying its name. Tim looked around and then looked at Rose.

"shoulf we go in?" devin asked

"Why not?" Tim said pushing the door open and looking inside. "Looks safe." He mutterted to Devin walking fully inside. There was a young girl at the counter with a smile on her face.
