"They don't seem to be very aggressive." March muttered as another shot rocked the ship.

Manu floated a little clsoer to him, "Do you think it might be just a distraction?"

"Perhaps, although I hope not. We aren't prepared to fend off more than two or three ships, say nothing of a sea monster."

[Pirate Spawn]

Manu thought a moment, "Or they could be trying to stop us from getting to Sirdis. They look to be more defending rathe than attacking."

"That makes me worried about what might be going on in Sirdis." March muttered. "Are they stoping us from bringing aid? Or perhaps stopping us from meeting with the Red Queen? I doubt they're standing in the way of you and Mira's party."

Manu blinked, "She was being serious about that?" she asked, shaking her head.

"Did she sound like she was joking?" March asked dryly.

Manu rolled her eyes, feeling the ship move under her as it was struck again. She moved a little higher to throw a few more fireballs.

March gritted his teeth. "Darn it... We need to get rid of them. We need to get to Sirdis for repairs as well, now..."

"Yeah," Manu replied., "Any closer and they'd be able to jump ship."
